We have expert betting tips for racing at Murray Bridge on Saturday, which includes 10 races.
It’s a good day for racing in South Australia, and we have betting tips for every race on the South Australian card.
Murray Bridge racing tips
—
Race 1. (12:43) Adelaide Galvanising BM76 (2000m)
#1 – Cheval Savant @ $4.50
Cheval Saint looked good winning earlier this preparation at Randwick, which is excellent form for racing in South Australia.
The five-year-old son of Savabeel hasn’t been too far away from the prize and he’s good enough to win against this field.
He’s from the powerful Ciaron Maher stable, so put him on top.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 2. (13:18) BGC Industrial Cleaning Supplies (1100m)
#8 – Immortal Bliss @ $3.70
Despite drifting in markets since opening at $3.40, we’re backing Immortal Bliss to beat this field.
The three-year-old gelding by I Am Immortal won on debut at Gawler before returning to form with a placing at Morphettville.
Carrying 54kg is ideal and the odds are worth including.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 3. (13:53) Gifford Hill Estate Maiden (1000m)
#5 – Secret Wonder @ $2.70
We expect Secret Wonder to break through on Saturday after two solid efforts, including a debut second placing at Morphettville.
The Jolly-trained gelding by Supido was the beaten favourite last time out, but it was a good run for future racing.
We expect him to settle off the pace and come with a big late run.
Stake: 2 Units
Race 4. (14:28) Same Race Multi Maiden (1000m)
#8 – Ad Astra @ $1.60
Punters are getting frustrated with Ad Astra, who has four placings from four starts, and she has been running at short odds.
That’s the case again on Saturday but the three-year-old filly by Tassort is good enough to put this field away in style.
Once she wins, she could kick on with it.
Stake: 3 Units
Race 5. (15:03) Magic Millions SA 2YO Classic (1100m)
#6 – Gin Spirit @ $1.80
Gin Spirit is also nominated at Flemington, but if she races at Murray Bridge, she should score a commanding win.
The filly by Spirit of Boom is unbeaten in two starts at Morphettville, and she also finished sixth behind Palm Angel at Caulfield.
This level of racing is ideal and getting in with 55kg helps.
Stake: 3.5 Units
Race 6. (15:38) Marshall and Brougham Constructions BM68 (1800m)
#5 – Tipsy Vixen @ $3.60
Tipsy Vixen has been threatening to win this campaign, including three placings from five attempts.
The Jolly-trained mare is a three-time winner overall and one of those wins came at Murray Bridge, so having experience winning at the track helps.
Punters get odds good enough to include in multis.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 7. (16:22) Magic Millions SA 3&4YO Classic (1200m)
#10 – Shady Thinker @ $2.90
Looking to win consecutive races and remain unbeaten is Shady Thinker, who got the better of Ad Astra at Morphettville.
The three-year-old son of So You Think won by 2.3 lengths, so it was a comfortable win and he has many more to come.
Barrier 11 makes it difficult but his natural ability should take it close.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Race 8. (17:02) Happy 75th Phil Fitzsimmons BM76 (1400m)
#12 – Fiasco Tess @ $17.00
Value is with Fiasco Tess, who is good enough to upset the short-priced favourite.
The six-year-old mare by Sebring owns five wins and 12 placings from 38 starts, so she has been around the mark throughout her career.
55kg is ideal and she runs at value odds.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 9. (17:42) Thomas Farms Handicap (1400m)
#11 – Navy Gold @ $9.00
Navy Gold was too good for them at Oakbank last time out when scoring by a nose as a $4 chance.
The four-year-old son of U S Navy Flag has built nicely this preparation, and he owns two placings from three starts at Murray Bridge.
The form checks out and the odds are generous.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 10. (18:14) Spry Holdings Brenton Lewis Handicap (1200m)
#13 – Bouncing Beyond @ $4.60
Bouncing Beyond turned his form around when winning at Strathalbyn last time out, and he’s good enough to win again.
The three-year-old won by 1.3 lengths to exit maidens, and there isn’t too much depth to this field. He could take advantage and the odds suggest he’s ready to fire.
Getting the inside draw adds to our confidence.
Stake: 1 Unit
