gobet murray bridge racing tips

We have expert betting tips for racing at Murray Bridge on Saturday, which includes 10 races at the premier meeting.

Punters get good value odds for the South Australian meeting, and we have betting tips for every race on the card.

Murray Bridge racing tips

Race 1. (12:25) Bleasdale C2 (1400m)

#1 – Big Brute @ $3.00

Big Brute didn’t fire at Morphettville last time out, but his form prior included a win and two placings.

The four-year-old son of Brutal has yet to race at Murray Bridge, but this is a track that suits his running style.

Barrier four is ideal, and the $2.50 odds could shorten.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 2. (12:57) Thomas Farms Handicap (1400m)

#9 – Anahorish @ $6.50

Punters get value odds for Anahorish, who won well fresh up, and if she’s close to that effort, she should run well.

The four-year-old mare by Shamus Award wasn’t far away when fourth last time out, so slight improvement should be enough.

Carrying 55kg makes her a winning threat.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 3. (13:36) Carlton Draught Maiden (1000m)

#1 – Simply Sid @ $8.00

Simply Sid comes off consecutive third placings at Murray Bridge and Balaklava, which is good enough form to be competitive here.

The five-year-old son of Sizzling has five placings from 12 starts, and it’s only a matter of time before he wins a race.

We’re happy to include him in picks at the price.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 4. (14:11) Tom Reichstein’s Buck Show Handicap (1200m)

#7 – Sassy for Sure @ $4.00

Looking for improvement after two moderate runs this prep is Sassy for Sure, who should enjoy the level of opposition.

The three-year-old filly by Doubtland looked good last prep when scoring a win at Mornington, and that run is the best form guide.

Her odds have drifted, but punters get better odds now.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 5. (14:46) Magic Millions SA 2YO Classic (1100m)

#6 – Churchill Rose @ $3.70

The two-year-old filly by Churchill ran second on debut at Morphettville when finishing just a half-length behind the winner.

She returned from a spell with a tidy trial effort, and despite drifting in betting after opening at $3.30, there is still good betting support.

It’s a tough field, but she represents value.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 6. (15:21) Same Race Multi BM82 (1400m)

#3 – Super Lad @ $4.80

Gunning for back-to-back wins is Super Lad, who owns five wins and six placings from 17 starts.

The four-year-old son of Grunt is a two-time winner over the distance, and we expected him to be at shorter odds.

Getting in with 55.5kg makes him tough to hold out.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 7. (15:56) BGC Industrial Cleaning Supplies Handicap (1200m)

#1 – Gold Spirit @ $3.40

Gold Spirit is better for two runs this preparation, and getting back to his favourite track is ideal.

The four-year-old is a two-time winner at Murray Bridge, and getting 3kg off his back should be enough to take him close.

He opened at $3.90, so it has been a solid betting move throughout the week.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 8. (16:28) Magic Millions SA 3&4YO Classic (1200m)

#3 – Shadhavar @ $2.35

Shadhavar doesn’t have any fresh up form, but the four-year-old mare should relish this level of opposition.

The four-year-old mare by Pride of Dubai won at Caulfield two back before placing behind Surfin’ Bird in a tough race last start.

She has a good chance of returning from a spell with a big showing.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 9. (17:07) Spry Civil Construction Handicap (1100m)

#11 – Mystic Wonder @ $8.50

Mystic Wonder showed good speed when winning fresh up last preparation, and she could hit the ground running this prep.

The four-year-old daughter of Stratosphere has yet to have success at Murray Bridge, but she could take advantage of this field.

Dropping to 55.5kg should be enough to take her close.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 10. (17:48) PLC Fencing Straight Up BM68 (1800m)

#5 – Longer Route @ $4.40

Longer Route won well at Morphettville two starts back, and although only fifth last start, improvement is expected.

The five-year-old son of Needs Further owns a win and two placings at Murray Bridge, so the track stats read well.

We’re taking the each-way odds from bookies.

Stake: 1 Unit
