The two-year-old daughter of Harry Angel is bred to be better than average, and they don’t often need too much time from this stable.

Include her in multis to start the day.

#1 – Everain @ $3.10

Everain finished fourth on debut at Ballarat before spelling, which often means they needed a bit more time to mature.

The three-year-old son of Manhattan Rain should be ready to fire on Monday as a $3.10 second favourite, and he comes off a jumpout win at Cranbourne.

That form usually stacks up well at this level.

#2 – Regal Secret @ $3.50

Looking to justify favouritism is Regal Secret, who owns two wins and two placings from eight career starts.

The three-year-old filly by Nicconi won at Mornington two starts back, which is an excellent form guide, and she wasn’t far away at Sandown.

3kg comes off her back, so punters should be confident.

#2 – Condor @ $6.50

Condor owns three wins from his last four starts, including last time out at Mornington by over a length.

The four-year-old loves the distance with four wins and two placings, so he should be ready to ping the barriers and go close.

The daughter of Cable Bay has yet to finish worse than second at Mornington, so getting back to her favourite track could work.

Looking for three consecutive wins is Sun Setting, who won at Moe and Mornington last month.

She is enjoying her racing this preparation after recording two placings during her first prep, and we can’t see her slowing down.

$3.60 is better than what we expected, especially with 3kg off her back.

The seven-year-old son of Redwood won in New Zealand four back before coming to Australia, and although his form hasn’t continued, the ability is there.

He gets the inside draw with 3kg off his back, so include in picks.

#11 – Dark Simba @ $2.10

Dark Simba was scratched from a much harder race at Flemington on Saturday and connections might be paid off for their patience.

The Hayes-trained runner scored at Pakenham and Sale this campaign, and winning three races on the bounce isn’t beyond him.

Money has come for him on race day, so take the odds.
