The three-year-old gelding by Too Darn Hot was only 1.9 lengths behind a nice type, and that’s a good form guide for this level of racing.

Having Group 3 form makes him tough to beat in maidens.

#8 – Black Eyed Blonde

Looking to cap off solid form with a win is Black Eyed Blonde, who showed good speed when running second at Sale fresh up.

Something close to that effort would be good enough to beat this field, and she could bounce back from a moderate effort at Ballarat.

It’s not an easy field, but she has more upside than most.

Race 3. (14:57) Weblease Used Cars Maiden (1600m)

#1– Cuban Dawn

Cuban Dawn looks to break maidens at his 16^th time of trying, and we’re happy to give him another chance.

He’s never too far away from the prize, including four placings, and we expect him to be right around the mark against this field.

Race 4. (15:32) Gippsland Motor Group Handicap (1600m)

#3 – Ze Bee Nine

Consistent form is with Ze Bee Nine, who comes off three consecutive placings at Bairnsdale and Kilmore.

There is nothing wrong with that form, and although he’s only a one-time winner from 30 starts, this is his best chance to score again.

#2 – Van Gerwen

The five-year-old son of Iffraaj is a past winner at Moe, so coming back to this track could be enough to see his form turn around.

#2 – Rebillyous

Rebillyous has solid fresh up form with two placings from four starts, and there isn’t much depth to this field.

The six-year-old son of Rebel Dane is also a past winner at Moe, so there’s nothing wrong with his form at this level of racing.

Race 7. (17.20) Traralgon Centre Plaza BM56 (1200m)

#7 – Maldini

Maldini has made a good start to his career, including a win and two second placings, which is good enough form to win this race.

The three-year-old son of Too Darn Hot comes off a second placing at Seymour, having raced at Flemington prior to that.

This is easier, so it should be hard to beat.
