Magic Millions 3YO Guineas Form Guide & Tips
(1) Bittercreek ($17.00)
He hasn’t been the most consistent type, but the talent is there. Having Blake Shinn riding helps and he could figure in the finish with luck form the wide draw.
(2) Give Me Space ($12.00)
Luck is needed after drawing barrier 21, which could put a dent in his chances. We can’t see him winning from out there, and $12.00 doesn’t interest us.
(3) Dawn Service ($34.00)
His runs either side of a spell haven’t done enough to warrant attention, and he’s looking for something easier.
(4) Catoggio ($27.00)
We expect Tim Clark to push forward from the wide barrier, but there could be a lot of pressure up front.
He would do well to hold them off over the final 100m.
(5) Depth of Character ($61.00)
His runs this preparation have been out of character, so we couldn’t find room for him in our selections.
(6) Snitzanova (Best Bet – $6.00)
Boasting three consecutive wins is Snitzanova, who won at Randwick, Newcastle, and Caulfield in preparation for this race.
Having winning form at Caulfield bodes well for the Magic Millions, and although it’s an open betting race, she has the best chance to win.
(7) Bosustow ($26.00)
He has yet to win this preparation and we don’t see that changing on Saturday. We need to see him finding his best form before we pick him.
(8) Shangri La Express ($61.00)
Punters get big odds for the gelding, and rightfully so. His best form takes him close, but we haven’t seen his best form some time.
(9) Street Chase ($21.00)
He’s yet to run a bad race throughout his career, and he could be one of the more underrated thoroughbreds in the field.
Getting $21.00 is a fair price from bookies, so we’re including him in our picks.
(10) King of Roseau ($13.00)
Despite some moderate form, King of Roseau has attracted attention with bookmakers. We’re not willing to take the $13.00, so we’ll leave him out of our selections.
(11) Cosmic Fire ($8.50)
Drawing well could be the winning of the race, and he gets barrier two following a win at Sunshine Coast.
He needs to keep to that level of form to win the Magic Millions 3YO Guineas, but he’s good enough, so include him at each-way odds.
(12) Hella Fast ($27.00)
He’s another runner we’re prepared to include in first four picks at a price. He likes to ride the speed, and he’s good enough to hang in there.
(13) Dance to the Boom ($18.00)
She has looked good winning all three starts but drawing barrier 18 makes her task much harder.
We expect her to try settle handy, but the pressure might get the better of her late.
(14) Bauhinia ($9.50)
We liked the way she hit the line to win at Wyong, and she would be much shorter with betting markets had she not drawn barrier 20.
However, she will get back in the run, so if she can get a path through the field, she could win.
(15) Zoubaby ($51.00)
There isn’t too much wrong with her form but it hasn’t come against opposition she faces here. She might want something easier.
(16) Yes Lulu ($12.00)
She is another runner that would be shorter in the betting had she drawn a barrier, especially after winning at Caulfield.
We don’t know how strong the form is when beating Miss Altair by a short margin last start, and because of the draw, we’re choosing to leave her out.
(17) Arriving Home (Best Roughie – $13.00)
The unbeaten filly has plenty of upside and the daughter of I Am Invincible could be good enough to beat this field.
She won at Warwick Farm and Randwick, so leave her out at your peril.
(18) Tuileries (Best Each Way – $8.00)
Barrier 23 hurts, but she will likely get back in the run and rely on her impressive turn-of-foot.
She is a nice type in the making, and we couldn’t turn down the each-way odds. We believe she’s good enough to overcome the barrier.
(19) Hell to Pay ($31.00)
He scored a good win last week, but going back-to-back will be tough.
(20) Territory Ash ($201.00)
Based on her form this season, she would need a lot of luck to figure in the finish.
(21) Bollinger Miss ($201.00)
A good winner fresh up but she looks outclassed.
(22) Blitzum ($201.00)
Unlikely to make the field and he wouldn’t make an impression if he made it.
(23) Nuestra ($351.00)
About the biggest odds you’ll ever see, and rightfully so.
