Kembla Grange racing tips
—
Race 1. (13:05) Join the Warra Club Today Maiden (1500m)
#5 – Elegant Artist @ $4.50
Elegant Artist runs at each-way odds because Monte Veebee runs at $1.26 odds, which is far too short for the favourite.
Punters get better value for Elegant Artist, who has been threatening to win a race this prep, including placings at Hawkesbury.
She is good enough to finish over the top in the opener.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 2. (13:40) Country Music Race Day Maiden (1300m)
#4 – Jump in the Line @ $5.00
Jump in the Line has yet to win from eight attempts, but he is good enough to exit maidens against this field.
The four-year-old son of Divine Prophet ran fourth at Wyong to end last campaign before being prepped with two soft trials at Rosehill and Wyong.
He draws well and gets weight off his back, adding to his winning chances.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 3. (14:20) Racing Mates Provincial BM64 (1000m)
#5 – Livin’ Thing @ $3.40
Livin’ Thing showed good speed during his first campaign, including a debut win at Hawkesbury and a placing at Newcastle.
The three-year-old son of Yes Yes Yes has been primed with two trial placings at Randwick, so he looks ready to fire.
The odds are better than expected, so include him picks.
Stake: 2.5 Units
Race 4. (14:55) JJJ Racing Conditional BM68 (1600m)
#2 – Satness @ $7.00
Satness is always a good each-way chance, and his experience could be enough to handle this field.
The six-year-old son of Sweynesse owns four wins and 10 placings from 25 starts at Kembla Grange, so he’s a course specialist.
Getting $7 is too good to pass up, so include him on an each-way basis.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 5. (15:35) Ladies Race Day BM64 (1200m)
#3 – Superhero @ $3.80
Looking to win fresh up is Superhero, who owns a win and four placings from eight career starts.
The three-year-old son of Deep Field hasn’t raced since finishing seventh at Eagle Farm in December, but he has since run well in trials at Scone and Randwick.
Money could come for him on race day, so take the $3.80.
Stake: 2 Units
Race 6. (16:10) JJJ Racing Punters Precinct BM64 (1200m)
#3 – Straand Beauty @ $3.80
We have been impressed with the form of Staand Beauty so far, including a second placing at Canterbury last start.
The three-year-old son of Exceeed and Excel has better form than most in this provincial race, and his trial form includes a recent win.
Getting 1.5kg off his back is all he needs to fire up.
Stake: 3 Units
Race 7. (16:45) The Race Against Suicide Midway BM64 (1400m)
#1 – Presides @ $5.50
Presides owns two wins and five placings from nine starts, including three placings from as many attempts at Kembla Grange.
His win at this track will come soon, and although this is a tough field, he gets all favours off the inside draw with 3kg off his back.
Take the each-way odds as a value bet.
Stake: 2 Units
