Kahlua Girl started her career with three consecutive placings before finishing sixth in heavy conditions at Gold Coast last start.
The two-year-old filly by Cool Aza Beel owns two placings at Ipswich, so having form on the track is ideal, and drawing wide isn’t an issue.
We’re happy to back her in an even maiden field.
Stake: 2 Units
Ready For the Trip showed good speed last preparation when placing at Gold Coast and Eagle Farm, which is a good form guide.
The four-year-old son of Better than Ready has been primed with a trial win at Doomben, and the Jones/Gollan combination has a good record.
Barrier two is ideal and the money should come for him.
Stake: 2.5 Units
Milton Road was good enough to win consecutive races last preparation at Ipswich, so the form checks out at this level.
The five-year-old son of Darci Brahma is a four-time winner overall, and although most of that form has come on dry tracks, we’re taking the risk of him handling a wet track.
He’s the class runner of the field, so include him in picks.
Stake: 1 Unit
Looking to score consecutive wins is North Pole, who won at Ipswich by a half-length, and he showed good speed throughout.
The two-year-old son of Farnan won in soft conditions, so handling a heavy track shouldn’t be hard, and it’s another good ride for Angela Jones.
It’s a tough field but include him in picks.
Stake: 1 Unit
We backed Existential Bob when he won at Wyong last start and we’re not about to jump off his back.
The three-year-old son of Ocean Park won by 1.5 lengths in similar conditions and being trained by Chris Waller only helps his chances.
Having Ryan Maloney in the saddle only helps his chances of winning.
Stake: 2 Units
Demon Award has been in good form this preparation with a win at Sunshine Coast before placing at Rockhampton in open company.
The five-year-old son of Shamus Award has yet to win run at Ipswich, but he’s a three-time winner over the distance, which bodes well.
He gets all favours off the inside draw, so include him in multis.
Stake: 1 Unit
Gin a Tonic didn’t fire last time out at Eagle Farm but that came behind some smart types in open company.
The three-year-old son of Better than Ready is a two-time winner from 10 starts, and given the quality of this field, he’s good enough to win.
Punters should look for each-way odds from bookmakers.
Stake: 2 Units
It has been a good start to the racing career of Acapulco Girl, who won at Ipswich before placing at Eagle Farm last time out.
The three-year-old daughter of Contributer will need luck from barrier 21, but she should settle on pace and kick strongly.
Maloney rides, and he could get the best out of her.
Stake: 2.5 Units
