(1) Ka Ying Rising (Best Bet – $1.05)

They are all running for second place with Ka Ying Rising in the field. He’s the best sprinter in the world, and he cruised home to score last time out.

The short odds are tough to make money from, but he must be anchored in all bets in the Hong Kong Sprint.

(2) Satono Reve (Best Each Way – $13.00)

The best-backed runner to beat KYR, and he showed consistent enough form last preparation to suggest that he can beat the rest of the field.

He won in Japan before finishing second behind Ka Ying Rising in the Chairman’s Sprint Prize, which is one of the better form guides.

Include him in picks at an each-way price.

(3) Lucky Sweynesse ($41.00)

He is the former champion of the sprinting ranks, but that mantle has been taken. His run for fourth last start measures up well, and he could be a first four chance.

He owns 16 wins from 29 starts, and class could be enough to see him figure in the finish.

(4) Helios Express ($19.00)

We like the way he hit the line behind KYR last start, which should be the best form guide for the Sprint. He found the line with good strength, and he doesn’t know how to run a bad rac.e

Money is likely to come for him to place, so include him in all selections.

The eight-year-old scored a Group 1 win in Japan at his most recent start, but he has been friendless in the betting. That’s not a good sign, so we’re choosing to leave him out.

His run for second behind Ka Ying Rising last start was an excellent effort, and he’s drawn to get all favours in the run.

We’re not sure if he can turn the tables on the favourite, but he should be around the mark.

(7) Khaadem ($81.00)

Barrier 13 doesn’t help his chances of winning, and his recent form isn’t good enough to be competitive here.

(8) Lucky With You ($151.00)

Struggling to recapture his best form in 2025. That’s unlikely to change in this race, hence the massive odds.

(9) Beauty Waves ($151.00)

He finished last in the main lead-up race last time out. We’re not sure where he’ll find 5-6 lengths from, but it’s unlikely to be on Sunday.

(10) Raging Blizzard ($51.00)

He has three placings to his name this campaign, but there is too much depth in this field for him to handle.

(11) Tomodachi Kokoroe (Best Roughie – $61.00)

The former Queenslander had his chance to let down last start but he was unable to muster. However, we’re prepared to give him another chance at the odds.

It’s a big price for a speedy type, and he could lift to finish second or third.

(12) Wunderbar ($101.00)

Not running well enough to be a leading contender in this race. Craig Williams rides, but that’s where the positives end.

(13) Divano ($151.00)

He’s not suited to this level of racing, and his form has taken a serious dive.
