Big money has come for Columbus, who opened at $2 before being backed quickly throughout the week.

That form is good enough for this level, so include him in horse racing multis.

Race experience is with Straight Sets, who ran last on debut at Canterbury when she was well-backed to score at $2.90.
The three-year-old daughter by Prague has since had three trials, and although she wasn’t excellent in those, she could save her best for race day.
The odds have drifted, but she’s good enough to beat this field.

Running at short odds is Sassy Abbey, who has been close with two placings from six starts, and she wasn’t far away fresh up at Orange.
She comes from the Bjorn Baker stable, and when money comes for their runners, they’re usually worth following at the midweek level.
Take the $2.10 odds before they shorten on race day.
Stake: 2 Units
Another well-backed runner is Horizons, who scored an overdue win by two lengths at Kembla Grange last time out.
The four-year-old mare by The Autumn Sun owns two wins and three placings from 11 starts, and this grade won’t hold her for long.
She’s a good multi bet inclusion at shortening odds.
Stake: 3 Units
Punters get each-way odds for Format, who should only be fitter for the fresh up run under his belt.
The Waterhouse/Bott-trained gelding has more talent than his form suggests, and he showed that early on with two wins.
We’re happy to give him one more chance at the midweek level.
Stake: 2 Units
Punters get value odds for Wandaye, who hasn’t done much wrong this preparation with a win and two second placings.
The four-year-old won at Bathurst before placing at Goulburn, and although there is more depth in this field, she’s running well.
We’re happy to take the current odds for value.
Stake: 1 Unit
President is much better than what his three runs this prep suggest, and we’re giving him one more chance.
The son of I Am Invincible was no match for them at Rosehill behind Golden Straand, and that form is good for this level of racing.
