gobet happy valley racing tips

We have expert betting tips for racing at Happy Valley on Wednesday, which includes nine races at the midweek meeting.

Punters get good value odds for the Hong Kong racing feature, and we have betting tips for every race on the card.

Happy Valley horse racing tips

Race 1. (20:40) Mount Butler Handicap (2200m)

#9 – Mr Aladdin

Form is with Mr Aladdin, who is threatening to win a race after posting a second placing two back and a fourth last time out.

The five-year-old has only four placings from 22 starts overall, but with Zac Purton in the saddle, he should be right around the mark.

We expect money to come for him on race day.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 2. (21:10) Mount Nicholson Handicap (1800m)

#2 – Sunday’s Serenade

Looking to bounce back to winning form is Sunday’s Serenade, who scored back-to-back wins at Happy Valley earlier this preparation.

The four-year-old son of Ardrossan is consistent enough to include in picks at the odds, and it’s another good ride for Purton to start the night.

We expect him to fire back on Wednesday night.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 3. (21:40) Wong Nai Chung Gap Handicap (1200m)

#10 – Good Prospect

The three-year-old looks ready to score a win after posting three second placings from seven starts at Happy Valley.

He ran second two back before finishing seventh last start, but he was only 2.5 lengths behind the winner last time out, so he wasn’t far away.

Carrying 55.5kg is ideal, so include him in picks.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 4. (22:10) Shouson Hill Handicap (1650m)

#1 – Midori Fuji

Midori Fuji looks to cap off consecutive second placings with a win on Wednesday, and this race is there for the taking.

The David Eustace-trained gelding has yet to win at Happy Valley, but it’s only a matter of time before he breaks through here.

Purton adds to his good book of rides, so put him on top.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 5. (22:40) The Cricket Club Valley Stakes (1200m)

#8 – Loving Vibes

Purton jumps off Loving Vibes to ride Bienvenue, but we’re happy to stick with Loving Vibes at better odds.

The four-year-old son of Zoustar won well two back at Happy Valley before placing behind Thriving Brothers, which is a solid form guide.

We’re happy to include him in our picks.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 6. (23:10) Stanley Gap Handicap (1200m)

#5 – Storm Rider

Storm Rider is knocking on the door of a win after posting three consecutive placings, which is an excellent form guide.

The four-year-old son of Dracarys is a two-time winner overall, and getting barrier two should make him tough to beat.

Purton adds to his elite book of rides.

Stake: 2.5 Units

Race 7. (23:45) Tai Tam Gap Handicap (1800m)

#12 – Good Luck Win

Good Luck Win isn’t the most consistent type going around, but his win three back is a solid enough form guide for this race.

The son of Ilovethiscity is a three-time winner from 19 starts, with two wins coming at Happy Valley, and dropping to 51kg is ideal.

He could score a minor upset against this field.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 8. (00:15) Violet Hill Handicap (1650m)

#5 – Excellent Value

Excellent Value has been all around the mark this preparation, including a win four back followed by three consecutive placings.

The son of Fastnet Rock has yet to finish worse than third at Happy Valley, and the former Australian is a leading chance to win again.

We expect him to settle handy and give a good kick.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 9. (00:50) Wan Chai Gap Handicap (1200m)

#5 – Horsepower

Horsepower owns five wins from eight starts, including two wins from two starts at Happy Valley.

The four-year-old son of Harry Angel is a former Australian, who won at Echuca and Geelong before being sold to Hong Kong interests.

Purton could close out the night with another win.

Stake: 2 Units
