Punters get good value odds for the Hong Kong racing feature, and we have betting tips for every race on the card.

Happy Valley racing tips

Race 1. (20:40) Chester Handicap (1200m)

#7 – So Awesome

So Awesome is getting close to posting a win after placing at Happy Valley, and that form could carry over to Wednesday’s race.

The eight-year-old son of Rip Van Winkle is only a three-time winner throughout his career, but he doesn’t need to improve to beat this field.

Having Hugh Bowman riding adds to his appeal.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 2. (21:10) Hereford Handicap (1200m)

#5 – My Day My Way

My Day My Way is knocking on the door after three placings from six starts, including back-to-back second placings.

The four-year-old son of Overshare was only a nose behind the winner on both occasions, and that form is tops for this race.

Dropping in weight is enough to see him win.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 3. (21:40) Hereford Handicap (1200m)

#1 – Fun Elite

Fun Elite is always tough to beat, and although he has only one win from his last 10 starts, he is always right around the mark.

The four-year-old son of Brazen Beau is a two-time winner from 13 starts overall, and getting Zac Purton riding helps his chances.

He’ll likely settle forward and give a good kick.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 4. (22:10) Lancashire Handicap (1650m)

#5 – Amazing Award

Amazing Award loves running at Happy Valley with 12 starts for two wins and three placings, including a win two back.

The four-year-old son of Kermadec gets all favours off the inside draw, and that could be enough to take out this even race.

Look for each-way odds on race day.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 5. (22:40) The St George’s Challenge Cup (1000m)

#8 – Thousand Spirit

Looking to remain unbeaten is Thousand Spirit, who scored at Mornington in November before coming to Hong Kong.

That form could hold up at this level, and the three-year-old son of Exceedance could carry that form over to this race.

Carrying 54.5kg should make him tough to beat, so look for a betting push.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 6. (23:10) Hereford Handicap (1200m)

#3 – Lahore

Lahore is getting close to posting a win after consecutive placings at Sha Tin, and coming to Happy Valley helps his cause.

The Jamie Richards-trained three-year-old was only a length behind Cheval Valiant last start, which is an excellent form guide.

It’s another good ride for Purton, who could have a big night.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 7. (23:45) Lancashire Handicap (1650m)

#7 – California Moxie

Gunning for three consecutive wins is California Moxie, who may have taken 15 starts to win a race, but he’s off and gone now.

The four-year-old son of Mehmas won by 2.8 lengths last time out, and that’s an excellent form guide for this race.

We’re happy to stick with him at the odds.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 8. (00:15) Renfrew Handicap (1650m)

#8 – Stellar Swift

Stellar Swift scored a good win earlier this preparation at Happy Valley before running some solid races in defeat.

The four-year-old son of Starspangledbanner gets all favours from an inside barrier, and that could be enough to win.

It’s another good ride for Bowman, who could keep up with Purton.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 9. (00:50) Selkirk Handicap (1200m)

#3 – Power Koepp

Power Koepp owns two wins from four starts this preparation, including two back at Happy Valley with a driving finish.

The seven-year-old son of Equiano is a four-time winner at Happy Valley, so he loves the track, and he’s good enough to beat this field.

We expect each-way odds on race night.

Stake: 1 Unit
