Dimora Queen is getting close to posting a win after five placings from eight starts, including a second placing at Hamilton two back.

The four-year-old mare finished a nose behind the winner last week at Terang, so she is a good chance of going one better.

We’re happy with the odds available for the favourite.

Jumping from barrier 16 isn’t easy but Killing Eve looks to have good potential at this level.

The three-year-old filly by Toronado ran second at Hamilton behind Royal Memory, and she went down fighting after hitting the line strongly.

She’ll settle back and come with a big late run again.

Race 3. (14:30) Greenway Turf Solutions Maiden (1600m)

Suntora is better than her form suggests, and her talent is reflected with betting markets.

The Nick Ryan-trained filly is a firm favourite following a fifth at Geelong, but her form prior included some solid efforts at Flemington, including a fourth behind Red Aces.

That’s group-level form, and rising to 1600m is right up her alley.

Van Gerwen is eyeing a bullseye on Tuesday, and there has been good betting support for the race favourite.

The four-year-old son of Iffraaj has been threatening to win over shorter distances, so rising to 2200m should suit him based on his breeding.

Barrier four is ideal and the $3.40 is likely to firm on race day.

Race 5. (15:30) Hamilton Life Handicap (2200m)

Bogues isn’t the most consistent runner going around, but we were impressed with his win earlier this preparation at Geelong.

The Liam Howley-trained gelding didn’t fire at The Valley two back before running fourth at Geelong, which is a better form guide.

Barrier three is ideal and he should be right in the mix.

Looking to make a winning return to racing is Final Countdown, who was last seen in August when running eighth at Geelong.

The four-year-old mare showed good form prior, including a win at Echuca by 1.3 lengths, which is an excellent form guide.

We’re backing her to make a winning return at each-way odds.

The level of opposition is harder this time around but his best form comes over the distance and he’s good enough to handle this field.

Getting 2kg off his back could be enough to see him run well at nice odds.

#2 – Frawley @ $3.10

Frawley is better for two runs under his belt this preparation, and we’ll keep backing him until he wins again.

The four-year-old son of Written Tycoon showed his ability when winning on debut at Geelong before being considered good enough to run at Flemington behind Estriella and Robrick.

He’s not up to that level, but he can win this race.
