—
Race 1. (13:20) Boggabri Cup 15th March Maiden (1300m)
#9 – Fun in Texas @ $7.00
Fun in Texas comes off an improved run for fourth at Gilgandra, which is solid enough form for this race.
The five-year-old mare by Rebel Dane has yet to win or place from nine starts, which is concerning, but she gets all favours off the inside draw with 3kg coming off her back.
Take the each-way odds from bookmakers.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 2. (13:55) Gunnedah Leather Processors BM58 (2150m)
#1 – Lady Tino @ $3.10
Looking to cap off four consecutive placings is Lady Tino, who placed at Mudgee, Scone, and Orange.
The five-year-old mare is also a five-time winner, hence the big weight of 64.5kg, but she gets some weight off her back.
Class is on her side and she should be tough to hold out.
Stake: 3.5 Units
Race 3. (14:35) Ultrafleet Country Boosted Maiden (1000m)
#1 – Takeover Lad @ $3.80
Takeover Lad is threatening to win a race this preparation after posting two placings and a fourth at Inverell last time out.
The three-year-old son of Invader owns four placings from six starts overall, and that form is good enough to recommend.
Money has come for him, so include him in picks.
Stake: 2 Units
Race 4. (15:15) Ultra Lubricants C1 (1600m)
#6 – Rura Penthe @ $2.00
Running at even money is Rura Penthe, who looks to cap off four consecutive placings with a win.
The six-year-old gelding by Maurice is only a one-race winner from 20 starts, but he could have easily won more races.
The odds are short but they’re worth including in horse racing multis.
Stake: 3 Units
Race 5. (15:55) Mannion Drilling C1 (900m)
#5 – Kantishna @ $2.15
Kantishna is gunning for consecutive wins after scoring at Tamworth by 2.8 lengths, which is an excellent form guide.
The three-year-old filly by Headwater paid $4.40 on that occasion and we’re not surprised to see much shorter odds this time around.
Getting 1.5kg off her back is ideal, so back her to win.
Stake: 4 Units
Race 6. (16.35) Court House Hotel C2 (1300m)
#3 – Bolt Away Now @ $3.90
Bolt Away Now ran second on debut at Tamworth before winning last time out, which is an excellent form guide.
The four-year-old gelding by Bolt D’oro has also been prepared with a trial win at Tamworth, so he’s ready to fire.
Getting $3.90 for a runner with his promise is good value from bookmakers.
Stake: 2 Units
Race 7. (17:15) H&M Refrigeration C2 (1300m)
#3 – Chidiac @ $3.70
Looking to remain unbeaten after three starts is Chidiac, who won both starts at Quirindi.
The four-year-old mare by Better than Ready won by 1.8 lengths as a $1.60 chance last start, so punters get generous odds this time around.
Getting 4kg off her back is ideal, so she’s the one to back.
Stake: 2 Units
Race 8. (17:55) Cool Blue Ice BM58 (1000m)
#2 – Gerety @ $7.50
Gerety owns three wins and four placings from 17 starts, including three wins on a good surface.
The four-year-old mare by Capitalist ran second at Warwick last time out before spelling, and she owns a fresh up win.
Punters get value odds to snap up.
Stake: 1 Unit
