The daughter of Staphanos pulled out all the stops close to the line to win narrowly, and she could head forward and be tough to run down.

The Ciaron Maher-trained colt has had four starts and run behind the likes of Open Secret and Rivellino, so the form checks out.

This is a big drop in class, and we’re prepared to give him another chance at the price.

#4 – Ready to Rocket @ $2.45

The four-year-old mare looks ready to win another race after posting two placings this preparation at Kembla Grange.

She won on debut at Hawkesbury in fine style, and with recent racing under her belt, she should be stronger and push this field close.

Getting the inside draw and Zac Lloyd riding helps her cause.

Race 5. (14:40) JCF Contracting BM64 (2100m)

#5 – Shangri La Impact @ $1.90

Seeking back-to-back wins is Shangri La Impact, who scored at Hawkesbury narrowly last time out.

The Waterhouse/Bott-trained filly will only be better for that run, and she likes to make her own luck in front, which is always a positive.

The three-year-old son of Castelvecchio won’t take long to win a race, and although this isn’t an easy maiden field, he should go close.
