The three-year-old son of Ole Kirk comes off a third placing behind Tentyris at Group 1 level last time out, and that form can’t be overlooked.
61kg doesn’t make it easy, but class takes him close.
Stake: 1.5 Units
She’s an Artist only narrowly won last time out, but she has always promised to be better than average.
The four-year-old mare owns three wins from six starts, and she should only improve with that win under her belt.
The odds are on the shorter side, but she’s worth backing.

Scintillation was a good debut winner at Gosford, and coming to stakes level in Melbourne is a good sign for a runner from this stable.
The two-year-old filly by I Am Invincible won by just under a length as a $1.65 favourite, and punters get better odds now.
A strong betting push would be a good sign.

On Display is a proven fresh up winner of two races, and her most recent run was a fourth behind Pride of Jenni at Group 1 level.
Form doesn’t get much better than that for this level of racing, and the four-year-old daughter of Fastnet Rock could be in for a big autumn.
Carrying 54kg should be enough to take her close.
Stake: 2 Units
Sass Appeal won’ t be easy to beat, but we love the progression of Salty Pearl, who is ready to let down after two starts this preparation.
The Ciaron Maher-trained filly ran second behind Sheza Alibi last time out at Group 2 level, and that’s the best form guide for this race.
Look for her to settle back and finish over the top of them.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Boasting a last-start fourth in the Blue Diamond Stakes is Zamables, who should find this race much easier.
Rising from 1200m to 1400m should be ideal for the colt by Pinatubo, and although he’s yet to win from three starts, it’s only a matter of time.
The Godolphin colt should prove tough to hold out at Flemington.

Looking to improve on a fresh up fifth is Benagil, who was always going to improve with a run under her belt.
The four-year-old mare by Manhattan Rain has yet to win or place in three attempts at Flemington, but at this stage of her career, she should enjoy the longer straight.
She will settle back and she’s fast enough to finish over the top of them.

His last race over 2000m came two starts ago when running third behind the highly touted Goliath, so the form checks out well for the Melbourne Cup prospect.
