The three-year-old son of Pierata was only 2.3 lengths behind the winner, and he doesn’t need to improve too much to win.
He should settle handy and kick gamely.
Stake: 1 Unit
Jillaroo is gunning for consecutive wins after scoring at Doomben last time out, and the former USA runner has upside.
The Ciaron Maher-trained mare owns a win and three placings from six starts, and getting the inside draw adds to her chances.
We expect her to keep winning at this level.
Stake: 3 Units
Zoology showed good improvement to finish second last time out at Sunshine Coast, and that should be a strong form guide.
The five-year-old son of Zoustar doesn’t meet an overly tough field on Wednesday, so he doesn’t need to improve too much to win.
Getting the inside draw is enough to see him win.
Stake: 1 Unit
Value could be with Araminta, who owns two wins and eight placings from 18 starts, including a win at Doomben.
The four-year-old mare by Spirit of Boom needed the fresh up run, and getting in with 55kg should see her run close.
If she gets luck from barrier 14, she should be right in the mix.
Stake: 1 Unit
Cressbrook hasn’t been too far away from the prize this preparation, and improvement should come with that run under his belt.
The four-year-old gelding by Kiss and Make Up is a past winner at Doomben, so having that track experience helps.
Angela Jones is riding well, which adds to our confidence.

Class is with Gin a Tonic, who owns four wins and four placings from 13 career starts, including a win and placing at Doomben.
The three-year-old gelding by Better than Ready is a two-time winner on soft tracks, so the conditions won’t do him any harm.

Keep Safe owns three wins from his last four starts, and he could make a winning fresh up run.
The son of Encryption prefers good tracks, but he’s good enough to handle this field, so look for a betting push on race day.
