Looking to go one better than his debut placing at Sunshine Coast is Lucifer’s Way, who finished a half-length behind the winner as a $1.50 chance.
There were high expectations for the son of Hellbent, and although beaten, he should bounce back off the inside draw.

Scheherazade needs luck from a wide draw, but having Craig Williams in the saddle only helps her chances.
She ran third at Doomben last time out behind Balance the Books as an $11 chance, and punters will get shorter odds this time around.
Her maiden win shouldn’t take much longer.

Caishen ran better than expected on debut at $17 when scoring at Ipswich, which is a tidy form guide.
The three-year-old son of Written Tycoon is bred to show early speed, and although there is good depth to this field, he has upside.
Look for money to come for him on race day.

Jealous is nearing a win after three solid efforts this preparation, including two fourths at Doomben recently.
The four-year-old mare by Nicconi has yet to win or place at Doomben, but it’s only a matter of time before she breaks through.
It’s another good ride for Williams, who could have a nice day.
Stake: 1 Unit
David Vandyke lines up the four-year-old son of Ace High, who broke maidens with a win at Eagle Farm two starts back.
He followed it up with a seventh at Sunshine Coast behind Flywheel, but he’s good enough to turn that form around and win.
Williams rides, so we’re a banking on him having a good day.
Stake: 1 Unit
Boasting four wins and two placings from six starts is Tuff Tu Miss, who comes off four consecutive victories.
The four-year-old son of All Too Hard is unbeaten at Doomben and over the distance, so there is plenty to like about his chances.
Ryan Maloney rides, and he comes off a Group 1 victory on Saturday.
Stake: 3 Units
Potentially capping off a big day for Williasm is Noble Decree, who owns a win and four placings from seven career starts.
The three-year-old son of Per Incanto won at Ipswich three back before placing at Sunshine Coast last time out, which is a good enough form guide.
Barrier three is ideal, so include him in picks.
