Punters get good value odds for the Queensland meeting, and we have betting tips for every race on the card.

Doomben racing tips

Race 1. (13:13) Become a BRC Member Handicap (1110m)

#8 – Summer Sensation @ $4.50

Summer Sensation comes off a trial win at Deagon, and she looked to have plenty in the tank.

The well-related daughter of Aclaim opened at $4.60 before shortening in a touch, but we expect the money to come on race day.

She is a good bet in the opening race.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 2. (13:48) Racecourse Village C1 (1200m)

#2 – Casino Bay @ $6.50

Matt Currie lines up Casino Bay, who scored at Toowoomba before placing at Doomben last time out.

The three-year-old filly by Anders was only a half-length behind the winner despite facing the breeze, so it was a good effort.

We’re happy to back her at the current odds.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 3. (14:23) Sky Racing BM78 (2000m)

#3 – Raf Attack @ $4.20

Raf Attack is better than advertised, and although he’s only a two-time winner, he has more than $450,000 in the bank.

The Ciaron Maher-trained gelding has faced tough fields throughout his career, and this is a much easier task than recent assignments.

Getting 3kg off his back is enough to take him close.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 4. (14:58) The Gibson BM70 (1350m)

#4 – Ten Deep @ $2.90

Ten Deep scored by a nose last time out to open her account, and it should give her plenty of confidence.

The five-year-old daughter of Ten Sovereigns owns three wins and five placings from 11 starts, and getting 3kg off her back is ideal.

The money has started to come, so include her in picks.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 5. (15:33) Ladbrokes Big Bets C3 (1110m)

#8 – Yoyo Yeezy @ $2.80

Yoyo Yeezy went awfully close of making it four consecutive wins last start, and he is worth backing again.

The four-year-old gelding by Yes Yes Yes has made a good start to his career, and we expect him to rise through the grades nicely.

Look for him to lead and be right there in the finish.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 6. (16:08) Girls Day Out on Sale Now BM70 (1350m)

#11 – Heavenly Impact @ $12.00

Punters get value odds for Heavenly Impact, who races predominately at Gold Coast, but his form stacks up well for this race.

The four-year-old son of Harry Angel ran second behind Hiatus fresh up before running behind some smart types.

He’s going under the radar here, so we’re taking the odds.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 7. (16:47) Sandi Bradford Memorial (1350m)

#5 – The Torque Xpress @ $12.00

The Torque Xpress is running well this preparation, including two wins and two placings, and he’s good enough to handle this field.

The three-year-old son of Toronado gets all favours in the run off the inside draw with 3kg coming off his back, which bodes well.

$12 is a fair price from bookmakers, so snap up the value.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 8. (17:27) XXXX 0MW (1200m)

#1 – Taltarni Fields @ $3.80

Taltarni Fields owns six wins and nine placings from 18 starts, and he’s threatening to win after four consecutive placings.

The five-year-old son of Deep Field has yet to finish worse than third in six starts at Doomben, and his odds have firmed after opening at $4.80.

He’s another runner getting the inside draw with 3kg off his back.

Stake: 2.5 Units

Race 9. (18:10) Magic Millions March Sale Handicap (1200m)

#2 – Hatchet @ $4.20

Seeking consecutive wins is Hatchet, who got the better of Hell at $10 last time out.

The seven-year-old son of Worthy Cause is good enough to handle a similar field, and punters get value odds again.

He’s drawn well, and punters should expect a tidy effort.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 10. (18:45) Ladbrokes Hosted Pots BM78 (1600m)

#1 – Nails Murphy @ $3.70

We have backed Nails Murphy for his last two wins, and now isn’t the time to jump off his back.

The Ciaron Maher-trained gelding has turned his form around in Queensland, and getting 3kg off his back is enough to take him close.

Money has come for him throughout the week, which isn’t surprising.

Stake: 2.5 Units
