Doomben racing tips

Toro Chase owns four placings from five starts, and this is his best chance to post a win.
The three-year-old son of Toronado comes off a fifth at Doomben, which was his worst effort, but he will only improve with fitness.
Dropping to 54kg is enough to take him close.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Gunning for three consecutive wins is Tophet, who scored at Ballina and Murwillumbah.
The Matthew Dunn-trained gelding won by 2.5 lengths as a $1.70 chance last time out, and he can cope with this level of racing.
Getting the inside draw is enough to see him land the hattrick.
Stake: 1.5 Units
The three-year-old filly comes off a third placing at Doomben, which should be a tidy form guide.
She is a daughter of Darci Brahma who was only 1.2 lengths behind the winner, and her previous form came in Sydney.
It won’t take her long to get off the mark in Queensland.
Stake: 1 Unit
Seeking back-to-back wins is Last Command, who made it four wins from 14 starts when scoring at Eagle Farm last time out.
The four-year-old son of Tassort won by 1.3 lengths against a small field, and this race isn’t much harder on Wednesday.
Look for a betting push on race day.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Tony Gollan lines up Veomas, who has been close with three placings from his last four starts.
The three-year-old son of I Am Invincible comes off a second placing at Geelong, and coming to Queensland only helps his chances.
Ryan Maloney rides, which adds to our confidence levels.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Immediate is a consistent runner with a win and six placings from nine starts, including a second placing fresh up.
The four-year-old mare by Better than Ready has yet to run at Doomben, but it’s a track that should suit her racing pattern.
Getting the inside draw is another positive.
Stake: 2 Units
Point Vega made quick work of the field on debut, scoring by 1.3 lengths as a $2 favourite.
There is more depth to this field, but the three-year-old son of Lucky Vega has a good chance of staying unbeaten.
A betting push on race day would be a good sign.
Stake: 1.5 Units
