The three-year-old gelding by Written Tycoon won by just under a length as a $1.90 chance, so getting $2.45 is a fair price from bookmakers.

Getting the inside draw adds to his appeal, so put him on top.

Blacklist didn’t fire last time out at Warrnambool, but racing at Cranbourne should be right up his alley.

The four-year-old son of Redwood is bred to enjoy the rise in distance, and his form last campaign was consistent enough to consider.

Punters get each-way odds, which are worth snapping up.

Race 3. (18:15) Evergreen Turf Maiden (1200m)

#8 – Ferocious Frankie @ $2.50

Money has come for Ferocious Frankie, who has looked good at the jumpouts for the Busuttin/Young team.

The two-year-old filly by Darci Brahma looks primed and ready to fire and carrying 55.5kg should make her tough to hold out.

Looking to cap off four consecutive second placings is Central Bank, who deserves a winning turn.

The three-year-old looked the winner at Bendigo last time out before being downed on the line, but it was a tough effort.

He’s worth including in multis at the current odds.

#5 – Jewel Bay @ $10.00

Jewel Bay has a good fresh up record with four starts for two wins and a placing, so he could be going under the radar.

The four-year-old son of Cable Bay is also a past winner at Pakenham, and although he’s no longer with Lindsay Park, he should still run well.

#6 – Grinzinger Moon @ $2.45

Grinzinger Moon has been excellent this preparation with three consecutive wins at three different tracks.

The three-year-old filly won at Yarra Valley over Regal Tycoon by 1.5 lengths and she has since won a trial at Corowa to prepare.

We expect her to be too good for this field, so take the odds.

Looking to cap off consistent form is Boga Legend, who ran second at Pakenham last time out by I Only Wish.

A repeat of that effort should be enough to see him go close on Friday, and he has been threatening to win another race for some time.
