This is a harder field, but the odds are generous enough to take.

Brutalina has yet to win this preparation, but she comes off a tidy fourth at Sandown behind a nice type in Terilee.

The four-year-old mare by Brutal owns three wins and three placings from 12 starts and getting 1.5kg off her back is ideal.

Shirshov is a speedster, and although he hasn’t won for some time, Friday night could be the time that changes.

The seven-year-old son of Exosphere is a four-time winner over the distance, and jumping from an inside barrier draw is ideal over the short-course distance.
