Ko Phangan has been specked since markets opened, and early betting moves for a debut runner are always worth noting.
The two-year-old colt by Ole Kirk has looked good at the jumpouts, and he’s bred to show early speed, so there is good confidence.
He could start as the favourite, so take the price.

On Broadway is a consistent type with a win and five placings from seven starts, and we’re happy to include her in our picks.
The four-year-old mare by Zoustar has yet to finish worse than second in five attempts over the distance, so we’re surprised by the odds.
We priced her at $3, so snap up the value.
Stake: 2 Units
Looking to go one better than her first two starts is Marine Empress, who ran second in two attempts at Geelong.
The Graeme Begg-trained mare was upset at $1.65 odds last time out, but the spell should have done her plenty of good.
That’s reflected in betting markets, and her odds could continue to shorten.
Stake: 2 Units
Egerton was scratched from racing last week, and the six-year-old mare should be ready to fire on Wednesday.
The six-year-old mare by Your Song loves running fresh up after posting a win and a placing in two attempts, and the win came fresh up last prep.
If she gets early luck from the draw, she could be too quick for them.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Hoping to remain unbeaten is You’re Too Vain, who comes off a win at Corowa, and he looks set to handle city racing.
The four-year-old son of Magnus won by five lengths on debut and three lengths two back at Kilmore, so the form is on the board.
This is a big rise in opposition, but she looks set to handle it.
Stake: 2 Units
Bogues resumed with a good run for second at Kyneton in heavy conditions, and he should be fitter for the run.
The five-year-old son of Justify runs much better on good surfaces, having posted three wins and four minor placings.
That’s good enough to include him in picks at each-way odds.
Stake: 1 Unit
Shooting for three consecutive wins is Enchanted Jenni, who scored at Sandown before winning again at Cranbourne.
Those are strong form guides for this race, and she won by two lengths last start, so we expected shorter odds for Wednesday’s race.
It’s a competitive field, but she will give punters a good sight.
Stake: 1.5 Units
It’s tough to bet against the odds-on favourite in Tennessee Bound. She has been mightily impressive in two wins, including a 4.8-length win at Cranbourne last start.
The four-year-old mare by Written Tycoon could have stakes ambitions in the spring, and rising to BM66 grade shouldn’t worry her.
She will run through multi bets at the short odds.
Stake: 5 Units
