Broadsiding is the best three-year-old in Australia, and his odds suggest we’re not the only ones thinking that.

The James Cummings-trained colt won’t stay a racehorse very long as a stud career beckons, but first he’s the best chance to win the Caulfield Guineas.

His last start win was special, and he should put a couple of lengths on them.

He showed good ability early in his career, but despite beating an easy field two back, he hasn’t been running well enough to consider.

He’s not close to being as good as Broadsiding, but there’s not much depth elsewhere, so he could fill a minor placing.

He looks for three consecutive wins after scoring at The Valley and Caulfield, and his win at Caulfield was tidy.

We’re not sure if that form is top-level, but the son of Harry Angel has upside, and he could figure into first four selections.

The well-bred son of Fastnet Rock is still in his first preparation, but he keeps running well for the Waterhouse/Bott stable.

He’s the second elect from the Waterhouse/Bott stable, but he has been running well enough.

The son of Snitzel finished third behind Angel Capital at Caulfield, and that race would need to stack up well for him to have any chance.
