There is plenty of value available with bookmakers at the Tuesday meetings and we have our best bets across the Victorian card.
Bendigo racing tips
—
Race 1. (13:00) Apaim Animal Health Maiden (1100m)
#8 – Star Territory @ $2.40
Star Territory looked good when running second fresh up at Bendigo before running sixth at Wangaratta last time out.
The three-year-old should enjoy coming back to Bendigo, and he only needs a touch of luck from the draw to go close.
We’re happy to include him in our picks.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 2. (13:30) Budget Car & Truck Rental Maiden (1100m)
#8 – Diamond Indaruf @ $5.00
Diamond Indaruf is knocking on the door of a win after posting consecutive second placings.
The four-year-old mare by Magnus ran second at Sale in two attempts, and racing at Bendigo should be right her alley.
Punters get each-way odds, which are worth snapping up before they firm.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Race 3. (14:00) Colin Browell Memorial Maiden (1300m)
#3 – I Am Titan @ $3.80
I Am Titan didn’t fire on debut at Caulfield behind Terilee, but he meets a much easier field at Bendigo.
Running second in that race was Whateley, who has since won last week, so the form checks out, especially at midweek level.
There has been good betting support, which isn’t surprising.
Stake: 2 Units
Race 4. (14:30) Bet365 Odd Drift Protect Maiden (1500m)
#9 – Top Secret @ $2.25
Top Secret looks to go one better than his second placing at Geelong with a win on Tuesday.
The four-year-old son of Dundeel wasn’t far behind Impish Lady, and he showed good barrier speed to lead throughout most of the race.
Barrier two is ideal and he could kick away at the top of the straight.
Stake: 2 Units
Race 5. (15:00) Bendigo Service Centre BM64 (1600m)
#8 – McAdam @ $4.80
Consistency is with McAdam, who owns a win and four placings from seven starts, and he has faced tougher fields than this.
The three-year-old son of Snitel won at The Valley three back before placing at The Valley and Geelong last time out.
He’ll settle handy and give punters a good sight.
Stake: 2.5 Units
Race 6. (15:30) RMBL Investments Rising Stars BM64 (1000m)
#1 – Strike Gold @ $7.00
Strike Gold owns two wins from his last three starts, and he won his only fresh up start last preparation.
The former Singapore runner won last year by just under a length before coming to Australia, and his two trial efforts at Bendigo have been good.
Getting 1.5kg off his back is enough to take him close at nice odds.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Race 7. (16:00) Drake International BM64 (1300m)
#2 – Lovin’ Laughs @ $8.00
Lovin’ Laughs has been consistent without winning this campaign, but we’re prepared to give the experienced campaigner another chance.
The eight-year-old owns 10 wins from 66 starts, and although he’s not at the peak of his powers, he’s good enough to beat this field.
Getting weight off his back helps, so include him in each-way picks.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 8. (16:30) Dunlop Pitson and Jenkins Civil BM58 (1400m)
#3 – Regal Tycoon @ $2.05
Money has come for Regal Tycoon, who won fresh up at Pakenham before adding three placings at Cranbourne, Yarra Valley, and Seymour.
The three-year-old filly has yet to finish worse than third from eight attempts, so it has been an excellent start to her career.
Barrier four is ideal, and the $2.05 might not last long.
Stake: 3 Units
