Kittyhawk turned her form around when running second at Ballarat last time out, and that’s a good form guide for this race.

The three-year-old filly by Merchant Navy gets every chance off an inside draw, and it’s an open maiden field, so she could take advantage.

Having John Allen in the saddle only adds to her confidence.

Race 3. (14:30) Manhari Maiden (1200m)

#7 – Mohegan Goddess @ $1.95

Mohegan Goddess is worth including in multis following a fifth on debut at Cranbourne, and she has been given time to mature.

The three-year-old daughter of Russian Revolution comes off a trial win at Bendigo, and getting the inside draw adds to her appeal.

We’re taking the short odds and including her in multis to start the day.

Race 4. (15:00) Porter Plant BM58 (1200m)

#2 – Fortyfour Magnum @ $4.40

Fortyfour Magnum won well two back at Kilmore before finishing fourth at Hamilton, and a repeat of those efforts could be enough.

The three-year-old filly by Magnus should enjoy dropping in class for this run, and punters get better odds than expected from bookmakers.

Take the each-way odds in what should be an even contest.

Race 5. (15:30) Hygain Winners Choice BM58 (1200m)

#3 – Asawin @ $4.80

Asawin scored a win earlier this preparation before threatening to win a race, and it’s about time he got back to his winning ways.

The four-year-old son of Churchill owns two wins and eight placings from 17 starts, and his run for third at Geelong last start was solid.

His odds have drifted, but he’s worth including at the each-way price.

Race 6. (16:00) Same Race Multi BM64 (1500m)

#7 – My Friday Beau @ $8.00

My Friday Beau didn’t fire at Seymour last time out, but that followed a win at Kilmore as a $1.55 chance.

Punters get much better odds this time around at $8, and although there are some nice enough types in this field, he should be competitive.

Getting the inside draw could be enough to take him close.

Race 7. (16:30) Hygain Winners Choice BM64 (1000m)

#1 – Rewards and More @ $2.35

The wide draw could get sticky for Rewards and More, but he has enough speed to put this field away with ease.

He owns three wins and three placings from 10 starts, and although he’s yet to race on synthetic tracks, he shouldn’t be worried about it.

3kg comes off his back, and he should be right around the mark.
