Western Ace ran well for third on debut at Pinjarra when flashing home late behind Don’t Wink.
The three-year-old son of I’m All the Talk will likely settle back from the wide draw, but William Pike is the best rider from back in the field.
We’re confident that he won’t take long to break maidens.
Stake: 2 Units
Looking to cap off consistent form is Long Laugh, who owns four placings from six starts, including placings at his last two starts.
The four-year-old son of Long Leaf has yet to race at Ascot, but his run for third at Belmont last time out is a good form guide.
Look for a betting move on race day.
Stake: 1 Unit
Looking to cap off consecutive second placings either side of a spell is Sunset Session, who was 1.3 lengths behind the winner at Pinjarra.
He ran at $1.70 odds, so although he was a beaten favourite, he didn’t lose too many admirers with that effort.
Include him in multi bets this week.
Stake: 2.5 Units
Seeking back-to-back wins is Red Lark, who defeated a handy field at Ascot last time out.
The two-year-old colt by Awesome Rock paid $6 when winning, but punters should expect those odds for this race.
We expect him to settle close to the pace before kicking strongly.
Stake: 2 Units
Supernatural is a two-time winner fresh up, and she has every chance of returning from a spell with a win.
The four-year-old mare by Sessions has yet to finish worse than second at Ascot, so the statistics read well for a winning return.
Pike rides, and he could have a big day.
Stake: 2 Units
Summer’s Legacy has been a tough watch her last two starts after getting too far back in the field.
The four-year-old mare by Bondi has only one win from nine starts at Ascot, but it’s only a matter of time before she wins again.
Dropping to 55.5kg makes her tough to beat.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Each-way value should be with Our Paladin Al, who owns two wins and four placings from seven starts.
The four-year-old son of A Lot placed at his only start at Ascot, and getting in with only 54kg makes him tough to hold out.
It’s not the strongest field, so he could take advantage.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Auto Cruise looks to keep her impressive record going on Saturday, which includes two wins and three placings from five starts.
The four-year-old mare by A Lot was too good for them at Ascot last start, and getting in with a light weight is a bonus.
She only needs luck from a wide draw to go close.
Stake: 1.5 Units
We’re taking the odds for Diamond Scene, who finished ninth behind Cosmic Crusader, and that form has been franked.
The six-year-old son of So You Think owns nine wins from 20 starts overall, so his form is tough to overlook at this level.
We expect his best form to return, so snap up the $3.50 odds.
Stake: 2 Units
Snippy Which showed good pace when winning fresh up, and he doesn’t need to improve too much on his recent form.
The five-year-old son of Snippetson owns a win and a placing at Ascot, and having winning form at the track is ideal.
It’s another good ride for Pike, so include him in picks.
Stake: 1 Unit
