We have expert betting tips for the greyhound cards this Thursday at Sandown Park and Wentworth Park.
There is always great value at the Thursday greyhound meetings, and we have our best bets across the two cards.
Sandown Park racing tips
—
Fleeing owns four wins from six starts, including a tough win at Sandown Park last time out.
The one-year-old son of Tommy Shelby didn’t jump well, but he reeled them in down the back straight to win by 1.5 lengths.
It was a good effort, and he is a top chance in the final.
Stake: 2 Units
Boasting seven wins from 10 starts is Abdulla Zulu, who couldn’t have been more impressive when winning two starts back at Sandown Park.
The two-year-old son of Aston Rupee won by seven lengths as a $5.40 chance, and we’re not surprised by the $2 odds here after a torrid run in the semifinal.
Getting the inside draw is enough to see him beat this field.
Stake: 2.5 Units
Punters get each-way odds for Deadly Avenger, who is a 19-time winner, and with that comes a fair amount of respect.
The three-year-old son of Tommy Shelby owns three wins and five placings at the track and distance, and he could come off a short spell with a win.
He’s a Group 1 type, so respect his chances here.
Stake: 1 Unit
Blue Storm is a quality type in the making with five wins from seven starts, and his semifinal win was a big effort.
The one-year-old son of Tommy Shelby missed the jump, but he picked them up on the line to qualify for the final with an explosive effort.
He’s the one they need to beat, so snap up the $2.50 before it’s gone.
Stake: 3.5 Units

Wentworth Park racing tips
—
Jodie Lord lines up the two favourites, and we’ve landed on Baby Face Bandit to prevail.
The one-year-old son of One Time Only is bred to be better than most in this race, and the early betting signs are positive.
We expect a good debut in the opening race.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Stomper Romper had good betting support on debut last week, and although 6.5 lengths behind the winner, he lost no admirers.
He didn’t have much early luck in the run, and while he was trying to clear traffic, Stomp and Run was off with the prize.
Drawing wide is ideal, and he could make amends with a winning performance.
Stake: 2 Units
Box Fly Bandit is another royally bred runner for the Lord kennels, and she looks set to make a strong debut.
The daughter of One Time Only x. She’s a Pearl opened at $3.50 before firming into joint favouritism with her kennelmate.
That’s a strong move, and she could put the writing on the wall early in her career.
Stake: 1 Unit
Sutton Jazz doesn’t have as much betting support as his kennelmate in Money Keeping, but the inside draw could make a big difference.
The one-year-old son of Aussie Infrared is bred to be good, and if he pings the lids, he could put up a couple of lengths on them early.
He’s worth including in picks at the odds.
Stake: 1 Unit
