We have expert betting tips for U.S. Open this week, which is the third major of the year, and it’s Scottie Scheffler favoured to win.
U.S. Open odds have Scheffler at $3.75, but hot on his heels are Bryson DeChambeau, Jon Rahm, and Rory McIlroy in betting markets.

Hitting fairways couldn’t be more important at Oakmont this week, and although his form since being injured hasn’t been fantastic, he hits more fairways than most of the top choices.
The American is a major champion, and he’s going under the radar with golf odds. He’s a $23 chance to win the 2025 U.S. Open, which is a good price for one of the world’s best golfers, and he hasn’t been too far behind the winners since the injury.
He finished T25 at The Memorial, which followed a T28 performance at the PGA Championship. He’s straight enough off the tee to shoot a good score, so include him at generous odds from bookmakers.

Next Best
The defending champion is back to defend his title, and it would be a mistake to leave him out of U.S. Open picks.
The LIV golfer is the biggest hitter in the tournament, and although being accurate is important at Oakmont, the course plays longer than most on the PGA Tour. Therefore, whilst other golfers will be hitting long irons into the green, if DeChambeau is straight, he will have a short iron in.
He went close to winning The Masters and the PGA Championship, and he’s the second-best player in the world behind Scheffler. That’s good enough to include him in picks at $8, and he’ll be near the top of the leaderboard.

Best Value Bet
One of the more underrated golfers in U.S. Open golf betting markets is Sepp Straka. The big Austrian is having a stellar 2025 after winning the Truist Championship in May and The American Express in January.
He has also been around the mark at the majors, including a T16 at the Masters last year, so the 32-year-old shouldn’t be paying $51. His 2025 majors’ performances haven’t been too hot, but he can turn that form around.
We’re not leaving him out of our golf picks this week.

Best Roughie
Another player sneaking under the radar is Justin Rose, who finished second at the Masters in April.
His form since hasn’t been great, including a withdrawal and some missed cuts. However, the Brit is a quality player on the PGA Tour, and he has enough experience to handle the tough Oakmont course this week.
The 2013 U.S. Open champion knows what it takes to this tournament, and he has since posted two top 10 finishes. Those haven’t come recently, but class is permanent with Rose, and his U.S. Open odds are astronomical.
Punters get $101 odds, so we’re putting something on him.

Top 20
Joaquin Niemann is a much talked about figure in golf. He dominates the LIV Tour, including a win last week, and he now needs to show up in the majors.
He is good enough to post a solid top 20 finish at Oakmont, and getting $2 is good value for the Chilean. He is worth including in U.S. Open multi bets to boost payouts, and we’re putting our faith in the star golfer.
