We have expert betting tips for the Truist Championship this week, where Masters champion Rory McIlroy returns.
He’s the only golfer at single-figure odds ($5) to win the signature event, which also includes the likes of Collin Morikawa, Justin Thomas, and Ludvig Aberg.

Truist Championship Best Bet – Rory McIlroy
McIlroy is playing the best golf in the world in 2025, having won the Players Championship and Masters. He is the clear favourite to win the Truist Championship, and we’re happy with the $5 odds available from bookmakers.
He is controlling the distances on his irons better than usual, which has translated to wins. He leads the FedEx Cup over Scottie Scheffler, and he would love to bridge the gap in the world rankings.
The $5 for McIlroy might seem short, but we cashed with Scheffler last week at $3.75, so we’re more than prepared to take $5 for the form player in the tournament. Money is likely to come for him throughout the week, so he could tee off on Thursday as a $4.50 chance.
Bet: Rory McIlroy @ $5
Truist Championship Best Value – Collin Morikawa
It has been too long since Collin Morikawa won a golf tournament, but he keeps producing good performances.
The American is a two-time major winner who hasn’t won since taking out the 2023 Zozo Championship, and that’s far too long between drinks. He won the 2020 PGA Championship and 2021 Open Championship, so the class is there.
After posting another top 20 at the Masters, Morikawa can’t be ruled out with Truist Championship picks. He’s a solid pick at $15.
Bet: Collin Morikawa @ $15.00
Truist Championship Next Best – Tommy Fleetwood
The chase theory is in play for Tommy Fleetwood, but we’re beginning to think that he’ll never win a PGA Tour tournament.
The Englishman has performed at the top level throughout his career, but since moving from the DP World Tour to the PGA Tour, he hasn’t secured a victory.
It’s a shame because many worse golfers than Fleetwood are PGA winners, so we’re happy to include him picks a few times more. He is a $26 chance following a seventh at the RBC Heritage, and that should be a good form guide for the Truist Championship.
Bet: Tommy Fleetwood @ $25.00
Truist Championship Top 10 – Akshay Bhatia
Akshay Bhatia is one of the younger PGA Tour stars at 23 years old, and he shouldn’t be far away from posting another top 10 finish.
He won the Valero Texas Open in April, and although he was disappointed with a T42 finish at The Masters, at least he made the cut.
It’s an elite field despite no Scheffler, but he’s paying $6.50 for a top 10 finish, and those odds are juicy. Being a two-time PGA Tour winner makes him a stronger pick than many players in the field.
Bet: Akshay Bhatia @ $6.50
