Sentry Tournament of Champions Best Bet – Scottie Scheffler

Scheffler has yet to win a PGA Tour tournament in January, but he likes to start the year with a bang.

There is some pressure on Scheffler to keep his world number one ranking, but his recent win at the Hero World Challenge against a limited field should give him plenty of confidence.

The American is the current $6.50 favourite to kick-start his year with a win, and there’s no doubting his class edge. He’s one of the best ball strikers on tour, and we’re not shocked at the odds.

We’re happy to include Scheffler in our selections because he won’t put in a bad performance. He’s consistent, and always near the top of the leaderboard.

Sentry Tournament of Champions Best Value – Ludvig Aberg

We were either going to include Hovland or Aberg, but we think Hovland might need a few more weeks to find his best form.

Aberg should be ready to go and eager to make a big impression in 2024. He was fantastic last year, going from college to winning on the DP World Tour and eventually winning on the PGA Tour.

He looks to have a bright future, and although he hasn’t beaten a field of this class, he clearly has the ability.

Punters get $14 for Aberg, and we think he has been putting in the work during the offseason.

Sentry Tournament of Champions Best Roughie – Tom Kim

Tom Kim could be the forgotten golfer in the field. He burst onto the scene a couple of years ago, but he lost some of that appeal towards the end of 2023.

However, we expect him to win at least twice in 2024, and he could start with a victory in Hawaii and the Sentry.

Getting $26 for a golfer like Kim is good shopping, and we’re happy to include him in our selections.

Sentry Tournament of Champions Next Best – Tommy Fleetwood

It has been a painful watch for fans of Tommy Fleetwood. He has yet to win on the PGA Tour, but surely, it’s a matter of time.

Loyal punters will keep following him because he’s consistent, and bookmakers always offer generous odds for the Englishman.

We’re happy to apply the chase theory for Fleetwood. He doesn’t need to improve much to win on the PGA Tour, and his form towards the end of 2023 was solid enough.

He handles the wind well, and there should be plenty of wind around. Therefore, we’re including Bradley in our selections at generous odds.
