We have expert betting tips for Tour Championship this week, which is the final tournament of the season and FedEx Cup.
There has been a format change in 2025, so Scheffler will start level with every other player despite having a massive lead in the points race.
That makes it an open contest for the $10 million prize, but Scheffler still dominates Tour Championship odds.

Best Bet
It seems tough on Scheffler to not get any advantage after dominating the PGA Tour, but the rules might have been changed to stop him from soaring away with an easy victory.
Despite starting on equal terms with some golfers who haven’t won a tournament this year, Scheffler is the man to beat. He wore down Robert MacIntyre to win the BMW Championship last week, and there isn’t a golfer on his level currently.
With Rory McIlroy struggling with consistency, and the likes of Tommy Fleetwood and Ludvig Aberg finding it tough to win tournaments, the next three golfers in the betting aren’t on the same level as Scheffler, so take the $2.50 odds.

Next Best
It has been a good year for J.J. Spaun, and he is a good chance of finishing on the first page of the leaderboard.
The American didn’t play well last week, but he won the 2025 U.S. Open and having that win under his belt is ideal. He also lost The Players in a playoff to McIlroy, so he’s the most improved player in 2025 and it’s not close.
Getting $26 for Spaun is a good price, especially in a field of only 30 players. He’s over the odds, and he has already shown that he can beat Scheffler.

Best Value Bet
Heavy criticism has come for Patrick Cantlay this year, and according to his results, he hasn’t handled it overly well. However, despite being constantly put on the clock by PGA Tour officials, he could pop up when least expected.
He has played well in the Tour Championship, so he has experience to call on, and he’s not fazed by the occasion. His form hasn’t been as good as expected, but he’s a player who can’t be overlooked at the value odds.
If he is anywhere near the top of the leaderboard after two rounds, he could grind away and go close.

Best Roughie
Having already won a tournament during the FedEx Cup playoffs, Justin Rose is well worth including in golf picks this week.
The British golfer knows what it takes to win big tournaments, and it has been a good year for the PGA Tour stalwart. He lost the Masters in a playoff to McIlroy, which hurt, but he bounced back with a win at the FedEx St. Jude Championship.
We’re surprised by the $61 odds for Rose, and that’s excellent shopping for punters.

Top 10
2025 has been a struggle for Collin Morikawa, who started the year with some solid results, but he’s long overdue a winning performance.
The major winner is down on confidence, and he’s openly talked about his struggles, but that’s no reason to jump off his back at the Tour Championship. In a field of 30 players, getting $2.40 for a top 10 finish is a good price.
Keep the faith with Morikawa, as he’s too good to continue underperforming.
