The Masters Best Bet – Scottie Scheffler

We wanted to find better value for our Masters top pick, but we can’t look past Scheffler to make it three on the bounce.

The world number one hasn’t won in 2025 after a hand injury at Christmas, but he has been close, and he knows Augusta better than most of the opposition. He won in 2023 and 2024, and it has always been a horses-for-courses tournament.

Our 2025 Masters picks expect Scheffler to be on the first page of the leaderboard from the outset, and it all comes down to putting. He’s not the best putter going around, but he knows how to read the subtle breaks at Augusta, so we’re backing him at $5 to win.

That’s a fair price considering his ability to win this tournament.

The Masters Best Value – Justin Thomas

It has been a tough road for Justin Thomas over the last few years, but winning The Masters would reignite his career.

The 31-year-old is a multiple major winner, and he comes off some tidy performances. He finished second behind Viktor Hovland at the Valspar Championship, and although he choked away the win, being in contention should give him confidence.

Having experience winning majors can’t be overlooked, and he’s paying $23 with Masters odds. That’s well worth including in Masters picks.

The Masters Next Best – Cameron Smith

Playing well in majors hasn’t happened for Australia’s Cameron Smith since moving to LIV, but he’s a former major winner who can’t be overlooked.

Despite taking the easy money at LIV, Smith still has a desire to win. The fields he faces on the LIV Tour are arguably better than weekly PGA Tour fields, so his current form is better than it looks, and he wasn’t far behind countryman Marc Leishman in Miami.

We’re not about to disregard a player with an Open Championship and Players title to his name. He is a $51 chance with bookies, so the odds are generous.

The Masters Top 10 – Corey Connors

We have been impressed by the play of Corey Connors recently, including a T18 at the Valero Texas Open this week.

The 33-year-old Canadian finished T8 at the Valspar behind Hovland and T6 behind McIlroy at the Players. Those are some terrific performances, and he is one of the most consistent players at The Masters, having finished T10 in 2020, T8 in 2021, and T6 in 2022.

Punters get $5.50 for Connors to finish in the top 10, which is a good value bet.

The Masters First Round Leader – Collin Morikawa

Morikawa showed last year that he can shoot low scores at Augusta, and he could lead the field on Friday.

He hasn’t won for some time, but the American is long overdue a winning performance after numerous top 10 results.

Morikawa knows how to play Augusta, and most of his best scores come early in the tournament. It can often take around –5 to lead The Masters after the opening round, and he’s easily good enough to shoot that number.
