We have expert betting tips for FedEx St Jude Championship this week, which is the first tournament of the FedEx Cup Playoffs.
The PGA Tour stars return for the big prize money and the points, including tournament favourite Scottie Scheffler, who is the $3.75 favourite.
FedEx St. Jude Championship Tips & Predictions

Best Bet
We picked Cameron Young at $56 to win last week, but we’re prepared to take the much shorter odds for Scheffler to win the FedEx St Jude Championship.
The world number one already has a massive lead in the season-long series, so he doesn’t need to win this week, but he’s the best player in the field, and his recent form includes a win at the Open Championship at Royal Portrush.
There has been some criticism of Scheffler for only playing signature events, but when a big tournament is on the line, he typically measures up. This is a big tournament, and although $3.75 is on the shorter side of value, he should start well and be tough to beat.

Next Best
Young scored his first PGA Tour win last week and now it’s Fleetwood’s turn. The British golfer has been trying for years to win in the U.S, and he came awfully close to winning earlier this year.
He choked away a win at the Travelers Championship when getting run down by Keegan Bradley on the 18th hole, but Fleetwood has dealt with tough losses before, and we expected him to win a PGA Tour tournament in 2025.
He’s running out of chances, but given the $26 odds, we can’t leave him out of our golf picks this week.

Best Value Bet
We’re adding Collin Morikawa to our overdue-a-win list. The American had the world at his feet at one stage, and although he hasn’t quite lived up to the hype, he’s still one of the best players on the PGA Tour.
Morikawa hasn’t won since taking out the 2023 ZOZO Championship against a moderate field, but he’s a major championship winner, so he has class on his side. With two majors on his record, he can’t be overlooked for the FedEx St Jude Championship.
The limited field helps, and punters don’t often get $31 for a player of his ability.

Best Roughie
Bookmakers never give Sepp Straka much respect, despite being one of the best players on the PGA Tour this year.
The big Austrian won the American Express in January and the Truist Championship in May, and he defeated some of the best in those tournaments. Justin Thomas finished second behind him twice, so they weren’t easy fields.
He might have failed at the majors with three missed cuts, but he plays his best golf on the Tour, and $41 is a crazy price. He only needs to start well to have a chance of causing an upset at the FedEx St Jude Championship.

Top 20
Kurt Kitayama scored a win at the 3M Open two weeks ago, and he could multi that win with another strong performance this week.
The American also won the 2023 Arnold Palmer Invitational when holding off the likes of Rory McIlroy, so he has beaten quality fields in his career.
Punters get $2.80 for a top 20 finish, so we’re happy to include him in our picks.
