PGA Mexico Open Best Bet – Beau Hossler

There are no PGA Tour superstars in this field, with Akshay Bhatia leading the odds at $15. Therefore, players like Beau Hossler can capitalise.

The American has yet to win on the Tour, but the former Texas player has threatened to win on many occasions, so we’re going to stick with him at value odds. Bookmakers have Hossler at $34, which could shorten throughout the week.

He finished T32 at the Phoenix Open, which is played in similar conditions to the Mexico Open, and he would have finished much higher had he not struggled in the final round when shooting even par. He often gets off to a fast start, and we’re backing him to be right in the thick of the finish on the back 9.

Bet: Beau Hossler @ $34.00

PGA Mexico Open Best Value – Patrick Rodgers

Patrick Rodgers started the Genesis Invitational final round with the lead, and although he didn’t play terribly, he didn’t do enough to secure the win.

Aberg and Maverick McNealy went on a birdie blitz, which left Rodgers lying in their wake. However, the former amateur number one can bounce back against a field that features none of the games’ top players.

Based on his performance last week, Rodgers is easily good enough to win the PGA Mexico Open, and he has gone close before. He lost the 2018 RSM Classic in a playoff to Charles Howell III and the 2023 Barracuda Championship to Bhatia.

Bhatia is a $15 chance and Rodgers is paying $23, so there is better value with Rodgers.

PGA Mexico Open Next Best – Matt Wallace

Englishman Matt Wallace is a live chance at $51, providing he shows the same level of play as he shows on the DP World Tour.

The 34-year-old is a five-time winner on the DP World Tour, including the 2024 Omega Masters and 2018 BMW International Open. Those wins hold him in good stead against a field largely full of players who have never won professionally.

He also won the 2023 Puntacana Championship when beating fellow European Nicolai Hojgaard, so he’s good enough to get back to that form.

$51 is a great value price, so take the big odds and include him in your PGA Mexico Open picks.

PGA Mexico Open Top 20 – Kurt Kitayama

It hasn’t been a good 2025 so far for Kurt Kitayama, but he could turn it all around in Mexico.

He started the year with a T37 at the Sony Open before finished T58 and T49, with a missed cut in between. It’s not stellar form, and he’s much better than that, so he should improve against this field.

There has been solid betting moves for Kitayama to post a top 20 finish at $2.10, and we think he’s an excellent golf multi bet inclusion at those odds.
