We have expert betting tips for The Genesis Invitational this week, which features an elite field of PGA Tour superstars, including Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy.
The signature event plays for big money, and it’s no surprise to see Scheffler paying $4 to win his second tournament of the year.
Our golf picks this week include our best bet and best value bets for The Genesis Invitational at Riviera Golf Course.
The Genesis Invitational Tips & Predictions

Best Bet
After winning his first tournament of the year, it looked as though Scheffler would win almost every week. He hasn’t won his last two tournaments but put that down to a poor first round at the Phoenix Open and last week at Pebble Beach.
The world number one didn’t fire in his opening rounds, but he stormed home to post top 5 finishes. It was an incredible effort to finish so close, especially at Phoenix, where he was battling just to make the weekend.
He’s playing at an elite level, and although there is more depth to this field, he deserves to be the firm favourite, and there is value with the $4 odds.

Next Best
Tommy Fleetwood often needs a couple of tournaments under his belt to show his best, and after posting a T4 last week at Pebble Beach, he’s ready to win.
Last season’s FedEx Cup Champion has turned the corner in a big way over the last year, and the Englishman shouldn’t take long to win another tournament.
He’s on the fourth line of betting at $21, which is an excellent price. The course should suit his playing style, and he only needs to roll in a few putts to figure in the finish on Monday morning.
—
Best Value Bet
It’s only a matter of time before Jordan Spieth wins another PGA Tour event, and it could come at The Genesis Invitational.
The American was in contention last week, but he shot only even par in the final round, which saw him fall down the leaderboard. However, it was an encouraging week, and he should derive plenty of confidence.
We didn’t think we’d see a day when Spieth was paying $61 to win a limited field tournament. It’s a great price from bookmakers, so jump on the value odds.

Best Roughie
The 27-year-old is paying massive odds to win The Genesis Invitational. We’re not surprised by the odds, but he’s worth backing at that price.
The Finnish golfer won the 2025 RSM Classic by one stroke, and although there wasn’t as much depth in that field, it should give him confidence of playing well against the world’s best.
He’s also a two-time European Tour winner, so he knows how to get it done, and the odds make him a worthwhile play.

Top 10
It has been a lean couple of years for Patrick Cantlay, and it all started when he got criticised for being the slowest player on the PGA Tour.
However, we expect better from the American, who finished T14 last week, and he’s an eight-time PGA Tour winner. His last win came at the 2022 BMW Championship, which was his sixth win in a two-year period, so he’s long overdue.
Going four years without winning doesn’t showcase his ability, so the $3.40 odds are worth including in golf bets.
