We have expert betting tips for the Dubai Desert Classic this week, which features a top-class field on the DP World Tour.
Rory McIlroy and Tommy Fleetwood are back in action after playing last week, but there is good value outside the favourites with golf odds.
Dubai Desert Classic Tips & Predictions

Best Bet
We backed the Kiwi golfer last week, and he didn’t let us down with a second-place finish. He’s nearing a win on the DP World Tour, and he has shown that he can compete against the world’s best.
Daniel Hillier has had an amazing run recently, stretching back to last year when he had numerous top 10 finishes in tough events. His time in the sun will come soon, and he doesn’t need to improve to start winning tournaments.
He finished last week with a –6 final round, and that took some courage. We have him playing well in Dubai again this week, and bookmakers haven’t woken up. They’re still offering $31, so take the value for the big-hitting New Zealander.

Next Best
Shane Lowry threw the tournament away last week when scoring a double bogey on the final hole. It was a tragic way to end a golf tournament, but he could bounce back with a top performance.
The Irishman has a better mental game than most players on the tour, and he will need to call on that to bounce back. It’s not easy to tee up a week after choking away a win, but Lowry is one of the world’s best players.
If he keeps striking the ball nicely, the $21 odds are likely to shorten throughout the week.

Best Value Bet
Despite being one of the best players on the LIV Tour, there is some pressure on Joaquin Niemann to deliver on the world stage.
He has the most wins of any player on the LIV Tour, but the Chilean has been disappointing when playing outside of LIV. His performances in the majors haven’t been up to his usual level, so the Dubai Desert Classic is an important tournament.
He’s a quality player, and getting $26 for Niemann is impossible to overlook.

Best Roughie
We can’t remember the last time a winner was paying $101 a week later. Nacho Elvira did well to win last week, and he’s not being respected in betting markets.
The Spaniard held his nerve nicely, and although Lowry made double down the last hole, Elvira handled the pressure of a fourth-round lead better than most in his position.
We priced him at around $30, so the triple-figure odds don’t make a lot of sense. He could win back-to-back tournaments on the DP World Tour, and punters could cash in.

Top 10
There is no reason to jump off the back of Angel Ayora, who continues to deliver for top 10 and top 20 punters.
The Spaniard is another player, like Hillier, who will win on the DP World Tour very soon, and it could come at the Dubai Desert Classic.
He’s better suited to more parklands-style courses in Europe, but he’s talented, and $3 to finish on the first page of the leaderboard is excellent.
