Imola has once again become a staple of the global F1 calendar and thrills and spills are expected once again at the famous old track:

Oscar Piastri @ $2.35

McLaren were expecting to have a strong season, but the development of Oscar Piastri has been far beyond many pre-season expectations. The young Aussie has been setting the pace in most races so far this season and Imola should provide another strong test of his title credentials.

With Lando Norris struggling a touch behind him on the grid, Piastri is certainly the form driver in the McLaren team, and he looks to be the favourite to win this one.

For the first time in his career, Lando Norris came into this season with a serious sense of expectation and so far, it has yielded mixed results for the enigmatic Brit.

With team mate Oscar Piastri flying at the start of the season and Max Verstappen continuing to mount a decent challenge, Lando Norris has work to do in the F1 title race and where better to start than here in Imola.

Mercedes have been going pretty well this term and George Russell has been a huge part of that. Consistency remains key for Russell, as he looks to close the gap on McLaren above him on the grid and he is beginning to shape up quite nicely alongside Kimi Antonelli.

Imola will be a test for both Mercedes and Russell, but a top 6 finish feels like the minimum expectation this weekend.

Ferrari will be backed to the hilt here and Charles Leclerc will be the man that has to deal with all of the expectation in their home land.

It has been a curious start to the season for Leclerc but there is no doubting his driving ability and a top 6 spot feels well within reach for him in Imola here.

In a similar vein, Lewis Hamilton has not had a great start to life at Ferrari, but home support could prove to be the catalyst for him for the rest of the campaign.

Imola is one of the tracks where Hamilton hasn’t always been able to showcase his best driving skills, but he has the ability to be well in the mix for the top 6 this weekend.
