Leicester City were the latest side to have their return to the Championship confirmed last weekend and with Ipswich Town also on the brink, all three clubs who were promoted last season, will be returning to the league below next year. Leeds United and Burnley have already secured their path back to the promised land for next season, with champions-elect Liverpool ready to clinch the Premier League title this year and Anfield will be expectant this weekend.
Here are our Premier League tips for the next round of fixtures this season:
EPL Week 34 Predictions
—
Chelsea vs Everton – Stamford Bridge
Chelsea ($1.63)
Everton ($6.50)
Draw ($4.10)
Chelsea dug deep to overcome local rivals Fulham last time out in the Premier League, keeping their top 5 charge on track and they take on Everton next at Stamford Bridge. The blues have huffed and puffed in recent weeks, but they remain in the hunt to be playing Champions League football next year and have a Europa Conference League semi-final to navigate. Everton meanwhile are continually improving under David Moyes, and they will be looking to be tough to beat again here in West London. On the basis Chelsea need the points more than Everton do, Chelsea should come out on top here.
Betting tip: Chelsea to win the match ($1.63)
Chelsea to win 2-1
Newcastle United vs Ipswich Town – St James’s Park
Newcastle United ($1.22)
Ipswich Town ($14.00)
Draw ($7.00)
The race for the top 5 comes into view in the North East too, with Newcastle hosting Ipswich Town at St James’s Park. Toon have been excellent this season but came up well short against Aston Villa last time out and are now in a battle to be playing Champions League football next season. Ipswich meanwhile are readying themselves for a return to the Championship, following a difficult run in recent weeks but they are always dangerous on the road. The Magpies need three points here and they should have no issues in getting them against the Tractor Boys.
Betting tip: Newcastle United to win the match ($1.22)
Newcastle United to win 4-1
Brighton vs West Ham United – AMEX Stadium
Brighton ($1.69)
West Ham United ($5.10)
Draw ($4.20)
It has been a tough few weeks for Brighton, who have slipped off the pace in the Premier League’s top 5 race, but they take on a struggling West Ham side next. The Seagulls have lost momentum in their campaign and now look to be clinging on to a top half finish. West Ham meanwhile have been abject in recent games, including a home draw with Southampton and they won’t be relishing this task on the south coast. Neither side is brimming with confidence here, but Brighton should return to winning ways at home.
Betting tip: Brighton to win the match ($1.69)
Brighton to win 2-1
Wolves vs Leicester City – Molyneux
Wolves ($1.60)
Leicester City ($6.50)
Draw ($4.30)
Ruud van Nistelrooy has overseen the demise of Leicester City this season and the Dutchman takes his side to Wolves, in need of salvaging some pride. The appointment of Vitor Pereira has inspired Wolves up the table and they are starting to look like a side capable of challenging for a top-half finish next season. Leicester meanwhile are rebuilding for the Championship once more and it promises to be another summer of change at the King Power Stadium. All the momentum is with Wolves ahead of this one and a home win looks locked in at Molyneux.
Betting tip: Wolves to win the match ($1.60)
Wolves to win 3-1
Southampton vs Fulham – St Mary’s Stadium
Southampton ($5.50)
Fulham ($1.67)
Draw ($4.20)
Already relegated Southampton dug deep to pick up a point against West Ham last weekend and they will be looking for a repeat showing here against Fulham. Saints have been way off the pace all year, with just 11 points to their name and they know they need to improve quickly ahead of their return to the Championship. Fulham meanwhile are faltering a touch in pursuit of the finish line, but they still have a decent chance of landing a European place next term. This will be tight, but Fulham should emerge victorious in this one.
Betting tip: Fulham to win the match ($1.67)
Fulham to win 2-0
Bournemouth vs Manchester United – Vitality Stadium
Bournemouth ($1.73)
Manchester United ($4.80)
Draw ($4.20)
Bournemouth will be looking to kick on with their European football bid for next season, as they host Manchester United down on the south coast. The Cherries have been superb all year but know they can’t afford any slip ups if they want to break new ground and play in Europe next season. The Europa League is the key issue for Manchester United this term, but they won’t want to go down with another whimper here at Bournemouth. This should be all about the Cherries though, who should land another notable home scalp.
Betting tip: Bournemouth to win the match ($1.73)
Bournemouth to win 2-1
Liverpool vs Tottenham – Anfield
Liverpool ($1.28)
Tottenham ($11.00)
Draw ($6.50)
Liverpool have been champions-elect for the majority of the season, but they will be looking to secure their Premier League crown here against Tottenham. The reds have been far too good for all around them in the league this season and a 2nd Premier League title in 5 years waits for Arne Slot’s men. One more win will do it for Liverpool, and they take on a Tottenham side in disarray. The Europa League remains the only hope Spurs have of salvaging their season and with one eye on that here, Liverpool could put on a clinic in this one and hammer them.
Betting tip: Liverpool to win the match ($1.28)
Liverpool to win 5-1
