With big names such as Manchester United and Tottenham tumbling out of the FA Cup, the regularity of the Premier League returns to the fore this weekend.
A draw against Liverpool for Arsenal proved not to be too costly, with their nearest challengers Manchester City and Aston Villa also dropping points, as the title race rumbles on.
Chelsea and Manchester United are scrambling for form, with new managers at the helm in Liam Rosenior and Michael Carrick respectively tasked with turning fortunes around.
West Ham, Burnley and Wolves all have plenty of problems down at the foot of the table too and relegation feels like a distinct possibility for each of them at this point in the campaign.
Here are our Premier League tips for the next round of fixtures:
EPL Week 22 Predictions
—
Manchester United ($3.80)
Manchester City ($1.95)
Draw ($4.00)
The Manchester derby kicks off proceedings this weekend, as City travel to Salford to take on Manchester United. The hosts have sent Ruben Amorim packing and as a consequence, are gearing up for life under former midfielder Michael Carrick, which should serve as motivation in a game as big as this. City will start as favourites and perhaps don’t view this one with the emotional angst that they once did, but it is a huge game in terms of their title aspirations. City have struggled on the road all season and with new belief at United, the Red Devils could sneak over the line here.
Manchester United to win 2-1
—
Chelsea ($1.70)
Brentford ($5.20)
Draw ($4.10)
Two West London sides do battle here, as Chelsea and Brentford square off at Stamford Bridge. Liam Rosenior is at the helm for the blues, and he will be desperate to get off to a winning start in front of his new home fans here. Brentford meanwhile are really starting to click into gear under Keith Andrews, and they really will not fear this assignment, against a side they have had some success against recently. That said, Chelsea need a win and they should get one here.
Chelsea to win 3-1
—
Leeds United ($2.30)
Fulham ($3.20)
Draw ($3.45)
Leeds will be looking to pull further away from relegation trouble, as they take on Fulham at Elland Road. The whites are going very well under Daniel Farke and with FA Cup progression assured last weekend, 2026 could be a positive year for them. Fulham too are hitting their stride following a tricky start and they will be confident of picking up the points here. With both sides in good nick, this could be a good game and the draw feels likely.
2-2 Draw
—
Tottenham ($1.73)
West Ham United ($4.80)
Draw ($4.10)
Thomas Frank is a man under the pump at Tottenham and how he would love to see his side pick up a win here against West Ham. Spurs were bumped out of the FA Cup by Aston Villa last weekend and are struggling for fluency and form currently. West Ham meanwhile are in a similar state, languishing inside the bottom three and they need results to turn quickly if they are to avoid playing in the Championship next season. This may not be pretty, but Spurs should win this one.
Tottenham to win 2-1
—
Liverpool ($1.23)
Burnley ($15.00)
Draw ($7.00)
While it has been a tricky season at times for Liverpool, the reds remain in the mix for a Champions League spot, and they start as strong favourites here against Burnley. Arne Slot’s men cruised through in the FA Cup against Barnsley and should be full of confidence ahead of another home game here. Burnley meanwhile are in a real funk in the Premier League, with results increasingly hard to come by but this is a free hit for them at Anfield. That said, Liverpool need a win and they should get one here.
Liverpool to win 3-1
—
Sunderland ($2.70)
Crystal Palace ($2.85)
Draw ($3.30)
Sunderland will be looking to continue their dream season, as they host Crystal Palace at the Stadium of Light. The Black Cats have seemingly secured their top flight status already and they will be pushing to finish as high up the table as they possibly can. Crystal Palace meanwhile will be reeling after being bumped out of the FA Cup by non-league Macclesfield and a response will be expected here. Confidence is key though and Sunderland should have enough in the tank to win this one.
Sunderland to win 2-1
—
Nottingham Forest ($6.00)
Arsenal ($1.57)
Draw ($4.33)
Big games away from home tend to define Premier League title wins and Arsenal will be looking to pick up an important win on the road at Nottingham Forest here. The Tricky Trees suffered the ignominy of a FA Cup defeat to Wrexham, but they will be looking to bounce back quickly in this one at home. Arsenal meanwhile have been pretty much flawless of late and their six point gap in the Premier League title race feels significant. Forest will have a good go, but Arsenal should come out on top here.
Arsenal to win 3-1
—
Wolves ($4.75)
Newcastle United ($1.75)
Draw ($4.00)
Lowly Wolves have been showing signs of improvement of late, and they will be looking to put them to the test here against Newcastle United. Rob Edwards has Wolves playing with a sense of belief again, but Premier League survival does feel very unlikely for his side at this point. Newcastle meanwhile were undone by Manchester City in the Carabao Cup in midweek and need to bounce back quickly, with big games coming thick and fast over the coming weeks. This will be tight and Toon should pick up the points.
Newcastle United to win 3-1
—
Aston Villa ($1.70)
Everton ($5.40)
Draw ($4.00)
Title chasers Aston Villa will be looking to keep the heat up on Arsenal and Manchester City above them, as they host Everton at Villa Park. The Villains have been ticking along nicely under Unai Emery, and they look well placed to at least crack the top four. Everton meanwhile are plugging away under David Moyes, but inconsistency continues to blight their season, and they lost to Sunderland in the FA Cup last weekend. This feels like a cagey one on paper, which Villa should prevail from.
Aston Villa to win 2-1
—
Brighton ($1.91)
Bournemouth ($4.30)
Draw ($4.00)
Two south coast sides meet here, as Brighton and Bournemouth meet at the AMEX Stadium. The Seagulls won well at Manchester United in the FA Cup last time out and they will be desperate to build on that result in the Premier League here. Bournemouth meanwhile suffered a painful penalty loss at Newcastle, and this feels like an important one for them on the road. Brighton may start as favourites, but Bournemouth could pinch a point.
