Arsenal managed to navigate the tricky trip to title rivals Chelsea with a point under their belts and the Gunners continue to be the side to catch as the festive period looms.
Manchester City and the aforementioned Chelsea lead the chasing pack in behind them, while Liverpool and Manchester United bounced back from sticky patches to win well last time out.
Problems are mounting for Tottenham, who can’t seem to buy a win under Thomas Frank, while Burnley and Leeds United also find themselves in a bit of a rut.
Wolves remain the bottom side though, winless in their opening 13 games played, and Rob Edwards has a serious job on his hands to steer them away from trouble.
Here are our Premier League tips for the next round of fixtures:
EPL Week 14 Predictions
—
Bournemouth ($2.15)
Everton ($3.75)
Draw ($3.50)
Bournemouth will be looking to bounce back from their loss at Sunderland last time out, as they take on Everton. The Cherries lost control of the game from 2-0 up in the North East and look to be bringing the chaos in most games they play currently. Everton meanwhile were well beaten by Newcastle at home but have produced some excellent performances under David Moyes this term, without any consistency. This should be a good one, with home advantage potentially telling for Bournemouth.
Bournemouth to win 2-1
—
Fulham ($5.10)
Manchester City ($1.67)
Draw ($4.33)
Manchester City left it late to beat Leeds last time out and they will be looking to take momentum here to their visit to Fulham. The hosts were good value for their win at Tottenham on Saturday, as they look to keep picking up points over the festive period. City haven’t been at the races for 90 minutes for a while and Fulham will believe that they can pick up a result in this one. Chaos could reign and Fulham could pick up a valuable home win here.
Fulham to win 3-2
—
Newcastle United ($1.75)
Tottenham ($5.00)
Draw ($4.00)
Newcastle United will be desperate to keep their good run of Premier League form going, as they welcome Tottenham to St James’s Park. Eddie Howe’s men have been resurgent in recent weeks, and they are beginning to climb the Premier League table as a result. Thomas Frank finds himself under the pump at Tottenham, but a couple of good results can change everything, and Spurs have been better on the road this term. That said, Newcastle are in good form and they should come out on top here.
Newcastle United to win 2-1
—
Brighton ($2.20)
Aston Villa ($3.40)
Draw ($3.60)
Two sides in decent nick square off here, as Brighton host Aston Villa. The Seagulls have bounced back well in recent weeks and their win at Nottingham Forest last weekend was a reminder of the dangers they pose to any side. Aston Villa meanwhile are also going well and are eying up a Champions League push ahead of next season. Both teams should be confident here and are in good form, bringing the score draw into play.
1-1 Draw
—
Burnley ($5.00)
Crystal Palace ($1.75)
Draw ($3.90)
Burnley will be eager to start finding form with the busy festive period looming and next up is a tricky looking test with Crystal Palace. The Clarets have picked up a few decent results this term, but they do look to be in danger of a drop back to the Championship. Palace came unstuck against Manchester United last weekend, but they remain one of the more dangerous sides in the league. This should be a physical one, with Palace looking decent value for all three points.
Crystal Palace to win 3-1
—
Arsenal ($1.33)
Brentford ($12.00)
Draw ($5.50)
Arsenal will be looking to return to winning ways, as they take on Brentford at the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners picked up a decent point at Chelsea last time out and they will be eager to keep pushing on with their title bid. Brentford meanwhile had too much for Burnley last weekend, but their away form has been much worse than their home efforts. This should be one way traffic in North London, with the Gunners ready to pick up all three points.
Arsenal to win 3-0
—
Wolves ($3.45)
Nottingham Forest ($2.25)
Draw ($3.40)
Winless Wolves will be looking to put some precious points on the board, as they take on Nottingham Forest at Molyneux. The Championship does loom for Wanderers, but they can only take it one game at a time, and this is a big one at home. Forest meanwhile came unstuck against Brighton last weekend and are lacking consistency this term, particularly in the Premier League. This will be an interesting one, but the visitors could sneak all three points here.
Nottingham Forest to win 2-1
—
Liverpool ($1.38)
Sunderland ($9.10)
Draw ($5.40)
Champions Liverpool got back to winning ways against West Ham last time out and they will be looking for more of the same here against Sunderland. The reds haven’t hit the heights as yet this term, but they have plenty of quality players in their ranks and they should click sooner rather than later. Sunderland meanwhile are a fearless outfit, epitomised by their comeback home win over Bournemouth last time out and they will relish this challenge. However, Liverpool are strong at home generally and they should prevail here.
Liverpool to win 3-1
—
Leeds United ($4.75)
Chelsea ($1.77)
Draw ($4.10)
Chelsea will be desperate to keep their good run of form going, as they take on Leeds at Elland Road. The hosts were undone by a late Manchester City winner last time out and they will be desperate to take heart from that in this one. Chelsea will know that they are in for a game in this one and will need to be at their best to pick up all three points, but they should be full of confidence after pushing Arsenal at the weekend. This could be chaotic, but Chelsea look well placed to come out on top.
Chelsea to win 2-1
—
Manchester United ($1.44)
West Ham United ($7.00)
Draw ($5.00)
Manchester United picked up a superb win on the road at Crystal Palace at the weekend and a meeting with West Ham awaits next. Consistency has been lacking for United all season, with Ruben Amorim not knowing what to expect from his charges but this feels like a good fit for them. The Hammers are the visitors, fresh off the back of their home loss to Liverpool and they will want to respond here. This may not be one way traffic but United should get the job done at home.
Manchester United to win 3-1
