Following another iconic summer of football, in which the Lionesses clinched European glory once more in the women’s game, attention returns to the Premier League.
As ever, a myriad of big-money signings have been made, with players from all over the world flocking to cut their teeth in the biggest and most watched domestic league on the planet.
Liverpool will be the defending champions next term and the side to beat following British record transfer Florian Wirtz and the tragic passing of striker Diogo Jota during the off-season will surely serve as further inspiration for Arne Slot’s men.
Perennial nearly men Arsenal have invested heavily in their playing squad once again, as they chase a first Premier League title in over 20 years, while Manchester City will be eager to bounce back following a poor campaign last year by their stratospheric standards.
Chelsea clinched the Club World Cup title in the summer and should be powered by a renewed sense of confidence, while the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham should also be raring to go, following big summers of respective change.
Down at the bottom, newly promoted sides Sunderland, Burnley and Leeds United will all be looking to avoid the drop and with so much to play for every week, it promises to be another fascinating Premier League season.
Here are our Premier League 2025/26 season tips:
Premier League Season Preview & Predictions
—
2025-26 Premier League Outright Winner
—
Liverpool – $2.75
Arne Slot was on the receiving end of some significant plaudits last season, as he steered the ship he took over from Jurgen Klopp to Premier League glory with relative ease. The reds were the dominant force domestically and won their second league title in five years. Investment is always a key consideration at Anfield and Liverpool have spent big this summer, something they haven’t always done in previous seasons. Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez and Hugo Ekitike have all arrived on the red side of Merseyside and with such reinforcement, they look to be the side to beat once again.
Arsenal – $3.50
It was another season of close calls for Arsenal last time out, with the pressure firmly ramped up on Mikel Arteta to finally deliver a Premier League title this season. Putting the ball in the back of the net is something that the Gunners have struggled with according to outsiders and they have spent big on Sweden striker Viktor Gyokeres, in an attempt to catch Liverpool above them. Noni Madueke and Christian Norgaard are the other headline acquisitions at the Emirates this summer and it does feel as if things need to come to a head this season for the Gunners.
Manchester City – $4.50
Such is the global footballing powerhouse that Manchester City have become that enduring a season where they don’t manage to win a trophy is seen as an overwhelming failure. The blues still managed to finish 3rd last term and lost out in a frenetic FA Cup final, so do have a platform to build upon this term. Changes at the club have been significant, with the likes of Rayan Ait-Nouri, Rayan Cherki, Tijani Reijnders and James Trafford all arriving this summer and attention turns to Pep Guardiola, to see if he can conjure up another successful City squad.
Chelsea – $12.00
The Chelsea conundrum has perplexed punters for a while but winning the FIFA Club World Cup could be the catalyst for something special at Stamford Bridge this season. Champions League football is on the agenda for the blues this season, with Enzo Maresca adding a level of continuity that simply hasn’t been present in recent times. Big money acquisitions this summer include Joao Pedro, Liam Delap & Jamie Gittens and if they click, Chelsea could be a serious force once again this term.

2025-26 Premier League Golden Boot Winner
—
Erling Haaland – Manchester City – $2.35
For the first time in his Manchester City career, Erling Haaland didn’t finish the campaign with a Golden Boot trophy, and he will be out to address that this time around. The Norwegian should be raring to go following a lengthy pre-season and City’s all-action style of play should present him with more chances this term.
Mohamed Salah – Liverpool – $7.00
Mohamed Salah and Liverpool were rampant last season and while sides should have a plan for them this term, the Egyptian king remains the main man at Anfield. The reds have a Premier League title to defend and if Salah is in any sort of form, they shouldn’t be too far away at all.
Alexander Isak – Newcastle United – $7.50
While the future of Alexander Isak remaining very unclear, the Swede remains one of the most potent strikers in the Premier League and he will be raring to go next season. Staying at Newcastle or moving to Liverpool looks to be the key decision Isak has to make but regardless of where he ends up, he always has the capacity to bang the goals in.

2025-26 Premier League To be Relegated
—
Survival is absolutely key in the Premier League but here are our picks to slip into trouble this season:
Sunderland – $1.40
Promotion for Sunderland last season felt as if it was the culmination of a few seasons of improvement for the Black Cats and they will be keen to test themselves at Premier League level this term. Staying up would be a huge achievement but they have spent big and should have the Stadium of Light rocking.
Burnley – $1.40
Scott Parker oversaw a record-breaking season at Burnley last term but there remains trepidation as to whether the Clarets can hack it in the Premier League again this season. They have become a yo-yo club of sorts in recent times, but they will be doing all they can to avoid a quick return to the Championship.
Leeds United – $2.25
Following a couple of seasons in the Championship, Leeds have rebuilt impressively and should be ready to challenge in the Premier League once more. This is of course a huge step up, but the Elland Road faithful should be bang up for the challenge of backing their side this season in the top flight.
