They choked away a win against the Scorchers, which was disappointing for their fans, but there were some good signs. Their bowling attack was electric in keeping the Scorchers to a low score, and although the batters capitulated, it was more circumstantial.

Steve Smith had another solid innings, and it didn’t help with his teammates falling around him. We expect him to have another tidy innings, and his steady hand could give the Sixers the edge against the Hurricanes, who played only 17 innings on Wednesday night.

It was a rain-shortened game against the Stars, so it’s tough to get a line on that performance. Playing in Sydney won’t help, so back the Sixers to get a chance to enact revenge on the Scorchers in the final.
