The Big Bash League (BBL) continues this week with three games, and we have our best BBL tips for every game.

There are three games confirmed, including the Stars vs Hurricanes, Scorchers vs Sixers, and Thunder vs Renegades, which were all postponed earlier in the year.

7:15pm Melbourne Stars vs Hobart Hurricanes @ MCG

It’s a huge game for the Melbourne Stars, who currently sit in fifth position on the Big Bash ladder.

Given their negative run difference, it’s unlikely they’ll do enough to make it, even with a win, but they have more to play for than the Hurricanes.

Hobart is out of contention with just three wins from nine games, and we can’t see them winning this match.

Bookmakers have the Stars as $1.72 favourites, and given how impressively they need to win by, they could come out aggressively and put the Hurricanes to the sword early.

7:40pm Perth Scorchers vs Sydney Sixers @ Optus Stadium

It’s an early look at the BBL playoffs as the second-placed Scorchers face the third-placed Sixers.

Positions on the ladder could change depending on who wins, but it won’t have much of an impact on the finals draw.

There is a lot of pride on the line this Tuesday, and it’s the Scorchers who are favoured to win with home ground advantage.

We have been impressed by the defending champions, and although they have been inconsistent over the last two weeks, they’re still one of the teams to beat.

Sydney comes off consecutive victories, so despite a slow start to the year, it has picked up momentum at the right time.

It’s a tough game to predict but take the $1.67 for Perth to emerge victorious at home.

7:15pm Sydney Thunder vs Melbourne Renegades @ Giants Stadium

It’s a battle at the bottom of the table for the Thunder and Renegades, who have been mightily disappointing in 2024.

We have high hopes for the Renegades, but true to form, they didn’t deliver as a team.

Expectations were also high for the Thunder, who have just one win and six losses from eight games. It’s not good enough considering their talented roster.

The sportsbook is having a hard time splitting the cellar dwellers. The Renegades are slight favourites at $1.86, with the Thunder at $1.95. That reflects the expectations of the Renegades, despite owning just two wins.

This game is all about finishing with a flurry, and we think the Renegades have more fight in them.

Therefore, take the $1.86 odds, but treat this game with caution, as it could go either way when pride is all that’s at stake.
