Life hasn’t been as easy for the Thunder, who had to play two matches. They defeated the Melbourne Stars by 21 runs before handling the Sixers on Friday. Those were quality wins, so there is plenty of momentum on the side of the visitors.

However, playing on the road against Tasmania hasn’t been a recipe for success. Hobart won its last six matches at home, and the conditions in Hobart play right into their hands.

The Hurricanes have experienced T20 players in Matthew Wade and Ben McDermott, and their bowling attack is fresh and ready to make an impression. They will have to be good to bowl through David Warner and Sam Billings, but they’re good enough to take early wickets.

They last played against each other on January 11, and it was a resounding win for the Hurricanes. The Thunder set a modest total of 164/6, which was chased down in 16.5 overs.
