gobet sydney vs western bulldogs afl tips

We have Sydney vs. Western Bulldogs predictions for action on Friday June 27 at 7:40pm at the SCG.

One of the more intriguing games of the week plays on Friday, where the Western Bulldogs are slight favourites to hold off last year’s finalists.

Sydney vs. Western Bulldogs Predictions

Best Bet

Western Bulldogs –8.5 @ $1.90

When the Bulldogs are on, they are one of the best teams in the AFL. That was the case when putting the Richmond Tigers to the sword last week with a 135-56 performance.

The level of opposition increases this week against a Sydney team that has suddenly found form with consecutive wins over Richmond and Port Adelaide, and last year’s AFL finalists are starting to get back to their best.

However, the Western Bulldogs are a premier team despite sitting in eighth on the ladder. They are much better than that and having scored 267 points from their last two games could be too much for Sydney to handle.

Take the –8.5 line as we predict money to come for the favourites.

Same Game Multi

Western Bulldogs -8.5, Sam Darcy 3+ Goals, Aaron Naughton 2+ Goals, Total Match Points Under 172.5 @ $13.25

We’re surprised by the 172.5 line available. The Bulldogs have been putting up big numbers, but that’s unlikely to be the case against a better defensive team in Sydney.

They combined for 135 points when meeting last year, with the Bulldogs winning 87-48, and it could be a 90-60 scoreline on Friday.

Doing most of the scoring should be Sam Darcy and Aaron Naughton. We’re backing Darcy to have 3+ goals after scoring five goals last week and 15 goals from his last five games. He pays $2.10 to score at least three goals, which is a good value price.

Naughton isn’t the most consistent scorer, but with two three-goal games from the last four games, he’s worth including in AFL same game multis.

Best Value Bet

Western Bulldogs Wire-to-Wire @ $2.60

The Bulldogs don’t start slowly, as evident last week when piling on the points early, and they could do the same against the Swans.

We expect them to start strongly, and getting $2.60 for a wire-to-wire victory is a generous price from bookmakers. We would have been happy to take around $2.30 for this option, so include in AFL bets as a value price.
