We’re jumping on Port Adelaide while it’s hot. The Power scored a win over GWS before doubling down and beating Melbourne last week, and that’s good enough form to handle the visiting Sydney Swans on Saturday.

With Sydney losing three of its last five games, and its recent only win coming over a poor Richmond team, that should open the door for Port Adelaide to win its third straight game. The Power won 85-77 against Sydney in April, so going 2-0 isn’t out of the realm of possibility.

They have momentum on their side, and another win could see them become a top eight threat, which didn’t look likely a few weeks ago. Ride the hot team and take them to cover the –9.5 spread.

Punters also get value odds for Sam Powell-Pepper at $2.25. He has only one goal from his last three games, but he scored four goals from two games prior. Against a moderate Sydney defence, he could take advantage with a 2-3-goal game.

Under 170.5 is worth including in AFL same game multis. They combined for 162 points when playing in April, where Port Adelaide won 85-77, and it could be a similar score line. There aren’t too many points with either team, so it’s worth including in AFL picks.
