We have Hawthorn vs. Port Adelaide predictions for AFL action on Saturday July 19 at 1:20pm at the University of Tasmania Stadium.
It’s a big Round 19 game between the Hawks and Power, where Hawthorn has been heavily backed to turn the tables on Port after losing in April.

Best Bet
Port Adelaide has won its last three meeting against Hawthorn, and although those three wins came at home, the Power are good enough to keep it close on Saturday afternoon.
Hawthorn was no match for Fremantle last week, and although the Hawks have shown good form throughout 2025, they haven’t been overly consistent against good teams. We rate Port Adelaide as a good team, and we don’t think there should be 29.5 points between them.
The Power have two wins from their last three games, with the only loss coming to Brisbane. They might get beaten by Hawthorn in Tasmania, but it could come down to the final quarter, so include Port Adelaide +29.5 in your AFL picks this week.

Same Game Multi
We are surprised by the 157.5 line considering they combined for 202 points in the first meeting this year. There was plenty of offence on display in Adelaide, and although conditions are different in Tasmania, it should still be an open contest.
Include over 157.5 points in your AFL same game multis, and many of those points could come from Mitch Georgiades and Jack Gunston. Georgiades has been a rock-solid bet in 2025, scoring 20 goals from his last five games. Punters get $1.77 for him to score twice, and those odds are tough to look past.
Gunston has also been a good bet, and although he scored only one goal last week, he scored 10 goals from his previous two games. He bumps up AFL SGM odds at $1.46.

Best Value Bet
There could be an upset in the making, and although we’re not backing Port Adelaide to win outright, it could lead at halftime.
Punters get $3.25 odds for the Power to hold a halftime lead, and given how talented their team is, we’re taking the odds available. We would have been prepared to take around $2.60 for Port to be ahead at the half.
