Collingwood won the first meeting 97-85 in May, and Fremantle is good enough to keep it close at the MCG.

The Dockers have four wins from their last five games, and although they didn’t look good when losing to Sydney two weeks ago, they bounced back with a gritty win over Hawthorn, and that’s an excellent form guide for this game.

Collingwood had its letdown spot last week when losing to Gold Coast, and although the Magpies made an impressive late comeback, it wasn’t enough to get past the SUNS. That hangover could carry over to this game, so we’re confident in Fremantle’s chances of keeping it close and potentially pulling off an upset win.

Many of those points could come from Josh Treacy and Brody Mihocek, who are two of the best scoring options in this game. Treacy scored only one goal last week, but that followed eight goals from three games, and that form should be brought to the table.

Mihocek comes off consecutive two-goal games, and that form is likely to continue. Collingwood has a wealth of scoring options, but Mihocek has been an excellent bet throughout 2025, so we’re not about to jump off his back now.

Punters get value odds for Fremantle to win outright, and although beating Collingwood isn’t easy, now is the time to strike against the Magpies.

Their confidence levels won’t be high after getting dominated by Gold Coast in the first half last week, and although they made a late comeback, the win didn’t look likely for most of the game.

Given Fremantle’s form, it’s playing well enough to cause an upset.
