We’re picking Collingwood to win the game, but the $1.40 odds are too short, and there is risk in taking them at –15.5. The last three meetings have all gone Collingwood’s way, but they won 78-74, 82-80, and 59-58, and it couldn’t be closer between these teams.

Adelaide is playing well enough to keep it close, and although we don’t think they’ll win outright on the road, the Crows are good enough to lose by less than 40 points. We are confident the Magpies win by around 8-15 points, and it’s good to have more points as insurance.

We would have been happy to take shorter odds for Collingwood 1-39. The $2.08 odds are generous with AFL betting lines, and it should be a relatively stress-free bet.

Based on their last three meetings, where the biggest combined score was 162 points, we’re backing under 173.5. The line is surprisingly high, and although we expect more points than their 2023 game where they combined for 117 points, it shouldn’t go over 173.5.

We have had good success backing James Elliott and Riley Thilthorpe. Elliott couldn’t have played any better last week when scoring six goals, and although the $1.48 odds are short, they’re good for boosting same game multi bets.

Thilthorpe is a $1.75 chance to score two goals for Adelaide. With seven goals from his last three games, we’re happy to follow him until he lets us down. Teammate Darcy Fogarty has also been kicking well, but Thilthorpe is ready to go to another level.

Ben Keays 3+ Goals @ $8.25

Ben Keays has a good chance to kick 3+ goals for Adelaide, and the odds are too juicy to turn down.

He had a three-goal game earlier this season, and after kicking two goals in each of his last two games, Keays is a form player.

He pays $3.10 to kick two goals, which is a safer bet, but the $8.25 to kick three is worth including in AFL picks as a value bet.
