The only loss for Gold Coast over the last five weeks came against Adelaide, and the SUNS bounced back with wins over Brisbane and Richmond. Beating Brisbane was a terrific performance, and they limited the Tigers to only 23 points last week.

Something similar defensively will make it very tough for Carlton to stay in the hunt, which is why AFL odds have the Blues at big odds to win. They showed up last week against Fremantle, but their second half performance was disappointing.

Gold Coast should jump on them early and build a sizable halftime lead before covering the spread easily.
